Upfront payment issues are related to PSR?! We have about a £10m wriggle room supposedly for this financial year to not breach PSR. Deals are amortised over length of contract, but down-payment amount shows in full on this years' PSR. Ergo, if we pay the full £5m Upfront for KWP (which is supposedly what they are asking) that gives us just £5m for down-payments to fill the other positions, less the £1, £1.5m we apparently have to pay Chelsea for Broja.PSR limitations I can buy but I can't accept that we're struggling with upfront payments after the takeover. They must have funds to invest or they'll lose the value of their investment.
If there's any truth in this at all then we need to be all over it.Everton transfer target Rayan Cherki has £18.6m clause at Lyon
Rayan Cherki is one of the most exciting talents in European football as the 21-year-old has now been on the stage for six seasons, making his debut at 16.
A move to Goodison Park can be in the frame as Everton could be a potential suitor for Cherki, with a possible chance of signing him this January.
It has now been revealed by Sky Sports Germany that the attacker has an £18.6m release clause despite extending his contract until 2026 with Lyon.

PSR has eased but we cant go and spend 50m before July unless we sell before July. Someone was saying we might have 20/30m to spend. Cashflow is now fine. Ithink once we get into next financial year we will be able to spend. Stadium and Commerical deals will be a massive positive on our balance sheet. We need to stay up. So we may have to gamble and sacrafice a player before July.
Looking back at the Villa game. These group of players need coaching. They looked like they were just put together at times. This will take IMO 6 weeks work on the training field.
We need additions at the top side of the pitch. I would have said before Villa a LB was essential but now i think we need to concentrate up front first. I think Baines will have a postive effect on Myko. Young can cover there. We have 3 RB at the moment so we dont need more. The squad needs more balacnce. We have 4 strikers in DCL Beto Chemitti and Boja so we need to shift 2 to bring in one. Broja will need to be sent home no matter the financial cost as we need that loan. Sell either DCL or Beto and hopefully can get some one in. What we do need is pace up front. No matter who we buy on the wings they have to have pace. We have enough bodies in CM although Moyes may not fancy them. Luckily he still has 2 weeks left in the market to have a good look at them in training.

My understanding is that regardless of the payment structure, for PSR the transfer fee would be split over the length of the contract so 5m over a 5 year deal would still leave 9m to invest in your example.Upfront payment issues are related to PSR?!
