Everton January 2025 Transfer Thread

Not sure on that mate, Kilbane wasn't anywhere as slow as McNeil he also was pretty physical too.

Can't remember Moyes liking or using a very very one footed player either although that's likely my memory
Kilbane was one footed. Bilyaletdinov was similar. Coleman is one footed. The list is long. Players tend to use their most comfortable foot. McNeil takes that to extremes. It's just my opinion but he does play him.

Thing is Moyes has never really been a defensive counter attacking manager, yes sometimes he plays that way but it's not the rule. He's generally pragmatic tactics wise and alters depending on the opposition, if we're home or away etc.

If we just focus on players suited to counter attacking then it'll be a mistake.

I'd have Richy back here in a heartbeat at the right financial deal for us
He has transform into a counter attacking coach, read it somewhere west ham scored the most counter attacking goals in the league when Moyes manage them.

I don’t think Spurs would see Richy now especially now the fans are calling for Ange’s head . A new manager might want to have a look at him .

A shame he’s breaking down as we all love him but we aren’t in a position to take chances on big money buys .

Moyes brought up the Championship a fair bit in a recent presser. Definitely think he's looking there.
Yep, there’s lots of talent there. Issue is that not many of them are playing for clubs that don't have at least an outside chance of the play-offs.

Think it would be difficult and expensive to get them out of their clubs in January. Think those signings will be in the summer.

More likely that January business will be from abroad or unwanted PL players this month.
