….like him too, I looked at him last season and was surprised by his age, he’s now 30yo. I couldn’t see him as a lone striker here given his size and physicality.

Looks a really good player him. Sunderland have got a pretty good engine room in the likes of him, Le Fee, Bellingham and Rigg

I have no doubt that Moyes will keep us up even with no signings.

The thing is we will have a big change of squad in summer, we seem to have a bit of money and 2-3 additions already now would certainly help to get acustomed to each other a bit quicker. Many new players need some time for that.

Agree, nice player, not a PL striker though. I’d be more interested in Jota who is reportedly going the other way.

….i saw him more pinching the ball than being the ‘hard man’. That part of his game certainly wouldn’t put me off.

It was literally in their mission statement that they would not be throwing silly money at transfers, we will only sign players who will improve us and that's the way it should be, 12 players already to deal with in the summer regarding end of loans, out of contracts etc, do we really need to sign a couple more short term or would you rather get it right and get a couple of players who will be here for the long term?
