Everton January 2025 Transfer Thread

The rs have wasted a fortune on average players. When was the last time they bought a top quality player? But they can afford to make mistakes thanks to their following of global happy clappers. That's what makes it unfair. Otherwise Bournemouth and Brighton would be the top 2 as they've been the best run clubs over the last 3 years.
It also helps when former players are managing other clubs and buy Liverpool players for way above market value, like Slippy handing them 15 million for a 33 year old Henderson.

Here's an argument for you all.

Has PSR worked?

Bournemouth, Brighton, Fulham, Brentford, Palace all seen as some well ran clubs, some have been 2 or 3 divisions below in hte past 4 or 5 seasons.
Does that give a blueprint for Ipswich or other forwardly mobile clubs trying to push on?

Probably the worst ran clubs over the past few years are ourselves and Utd, 13th & 16th

We wont see Leicester for a few years after they go down this season id imagine, is that because they spent over what they could for a good few years?

You look at Der Red's, they have had transfer windows when they havent bought, just for the sake of buying. I can only think of Nunez as a huge mistake over £35m, again something that someone like United haven't adhered too

We all talk about how poorly ran the club has been under Moshiri, so does the evidence prove that poorly ran clubs get punished?

If Forest weren’t 3rd after breaking PSR this might be a solid argument.

Broja needs to be replaced.

Can't be going with just Beto and DCL for last 15 games as all it takes is one injury and then you're gambling on players out of position upfront as we saw in the 2023 run in.

Chermiti also unproven at this level and been injured all season.

Is Nuamah on or off? Been linked to him since the summer and don't think the club have dismissed it so I think he'll turn up on next week aswell.

Especially as DCL and Beto don't want to be here by all accounts.

On Dutch website saying West Ham are negotiating for Brobbey, mentions we have enquired. Could mean one option less for Evan Ferguson to go and join his former nanager
