Everton January 2025 Transfer Thread

City have already had a massive spotlight shone on them; the PL will have to poo or get off the pot when the next lot of potential charges rolls around. If that’s what it takes to kill PSR then fine by me.

Utd are apparently in dire straits re PSR already so their spending will dry up almost completely.

Re Villa - It’s the recouped amount that’s interesting. Once the clubs that are signing their players face restrictions, so will Villa.

It’s a house of cards in more ways than one. Either PL stick to their guns and enforce to the letter, and clubs all but stop attracting the biggest talent to the league, or they realise their error and sack it off. Either way it’s coming.

I’ve always found it very odd that the PL has this power over a group of independent businesses. Wildly inappropriate and stifling the product they wilfully put in place in the early 90s.

It was brought in at the behest of the likes of Liverpool and Man United to stop the next Man City/ Chelsea coming through, this has nothing to do with sustainability at all.

The sustainability angle is the pretence under which the PL has introduced it. Problem for them, now, is that they’ve got to enforce that equally or abandon it. City have had their kecks down once already.

Gravenberch has been excellent this season

Mac Allister is considered top quality also, compare that to someone like Casemeiro, its money well spent.

Gakpo, Diaz
Yep, while Chelsea and Arsenal were buying midfielders for 9 figure sums Liverpool picked up a player that is much better than all of them for half the price.

I read Bobble said we’re not actively trying to get rid of Broja, and both the player and his parent club wants him to stay.
So now he knows what Broja and Chelsea want too? Quite clear from the second Moyes mentioned it at one of the pressers he wants Broja returned if it’s possible, Chelsea being a financially savvy business will almost certainly let this happen if Everton pay them a penalty fee on top, giving them more than they would get if we were just stuck with his wages.

This comes down to how much Chelsea want on top of his wages and if we value that loan spot and it’s importance to us at the same or similar financial amount. The player will have little to no say in this either.

Yeah, there's no earthly reason why Chelsea would want to end the loan unless compensated. I'm sure this will go down to the wire.

Thelwell and the Friedkins will be parting ways soon.

Moyes picks his player's not super Kev..... One look at Beto and I guarantee Moyes just shook his head and said that our Kev was not too be trusted. He's probably turned down about 5 suggestions from Thelwell already.
Love the idea of Moyes walking into Finch Farm like Gordon Ramsey in kitchen nightmares, wondering what the f@$$k has gone on here.

Why is it when other teams have loan deals they just seem to be send back injured players to their parent clubs, it's happened numerous times, but I promise you i won't be able to give you one example if asked. :)
