Everton January 2025 Transfer Thread

Lots of rumours about loving the charlie and his commitment to the game not being right.

You could say maybe bringing him here, with Coleman, an experienced manager like Moyes (Brighton’s manager is like 15), and being closer to his family for them to visit more often might sort him out.

Or he comes here and ends up in Popworld and we have to fire him.
Why would anybody even consider giving him a chance if any if this is true? Have people lost their minds?

Sounds like he needs a social worker more than a move.

We aren’t in a position to gamble again.

Really don’t understand anybody who might even think this is a good idea. We aren’t a corrective home for wayward footballers.

It’s like they never learn. We’ve had enough players on the books for the last few years who have rinsed the club for a salary and given nothing back in return.

Well this is what I mean, it’s just rumours. I don’t think anything concrete has ever come out about it - it could all just be fluff. No smoke without fire though.

But we are the Lourde’s of professional football mate. ‘Send us your lost, those weak in body and spirit and the soothing balm of Finch Farm will relieve their suffering and reinvigorate their souls’.

“Triggered by young men and transfers”, a Charlie Sweet story…

Just a reminder, Everton have zero domestic loan spots available so the club cannot loan anybody from another Premier league team. Unless Everton somehow strike a deal to send either Harrison or Broja back (or both) to their parent clubs, which they HAVEN’T and are reported at this time to not be pursuing due to the costs involved, a domestic loan is not an option ffs.

£10m for Doucoure 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

So we can’t loan from another PREM team?

Unless we get rid of Harrison? As in send him to Leeds? Like in the Championship?
As in not the prem?

How does giving a player back to a championship club open a loan for a prem team?

Or has the loaning club being a prem team not accurate ?

It opens up a domestic loan?

Genuinely asking if the rule stipulates prem team … of not then I’d be trying to loan a championship player with option to buy

Domestic I think not just prem

We aren’t selling Doucoure.
He’s a first team regular and we’d have to replace him. He also wouldn’t bring in enough to make it worthwhile, or even feasible.

You know those metal silhouettes that get used to make a wall in training?

Replacing doucs with one of them would increase our possession and chance creation stats on the weekends

Doucs is dog turd , you don’t need to replace dog turd … and the beauful thing about dog turd … is that it’s very hard to replace it with something that is equally as bad or worse … now factor in that dog turd is your highest earner …

His class is permanent. Defence is solid and with O'Brien now playing and Young on the bench with Seamus to come back can offload the deadwood of Keane and the other gimp.

Got to go for long term quality.

Not sure it is mate and it’s not as if he was ripping the league a new hole every weekend . He was a young player with potential. He may sort himself out and become a good or class player.

But we have been a retirement home, treatment centre, players last contract and rehab clinic for to long .

Dele was class and cost us what? 15m in wages and played about 12 games … not even full games .

Unfortunately we have gambled to much and we cannot afford to take unnecessary gambles anymore.

We are nearly out of this mess , PSR complaint , decent manager that should keep us up , a new stadium and with it new revenue …

Why would you want to bring a big time Charlie / party boy to the club
