Everton January 2025 Transfer Thread

Just had to copy and paste this paragraph from the Echo as I thought it was hilarious

Despite that challenge, heading into the weekend there was cause for positivity around the work the Blues had done in the transfer window. While no incomings had been secured, there was a sense the groundwork had been done and that the club was in a good position to act on that in the closing stages of the window.

No incomings, but cause for positivity for groundwork done without signings 🤣🤣
Groundwork? Maybe they meant Groundhog.

Something is telling me that we are trying to get through this season on a very limited budget as maybe Moyes and Thelwell wont be here in the summer.

Maybe the 2 injuries at the weekend might be the only replacements we get, and if they never got injured we might have gone with what we had.

TFG might want a whole new fresh start in the summer., basically a full purge of the whole club from top to bottom.

No one else has gone early and bought anyone in this window apart from city

Moyes and kev sitting in the scouting room, viewing YouTube video of players, whilst flicking through a wad of £50 notes.

Moyes, new signing, will be neymar. He will get a tune out of him.

The one with the two and a half year contract comes out on top I am guessing
Not good that. PL experience in Jan is likelynthe kindness utter dross we want to avoid. With no loan slots, they'll cost decent money, big wages, and are cast-offs. They'll be the kind of players that will hold us back moving forwards, or no one will take them off our hands.

IMO you have to be really careful with PL experience. It's not the safest option that people make it out to be.
