There are loads of proven international strikers out there - Jonathan David, Dusan Vlahovic, Victor Boniface; all available for transfer.

Can we afford them?

Funny mate it was one i was kind of hoping for, think he has a bit of flair and danger in an area we lack, with a fair bit of headroom to improve. I see him more as a wide forward.

Was thinking of it as a bit of Jimmy McFadden signing.

Could well be one for the future yeah but I just apply a heavy Scotland tax to attacking numbers. Right now he might be running rings round Eli Campbell but going from that to VVD or Saliba or whoever is a bigger step than going from Morocco to Scotland. One to watch for sure but I don’t know if he’s immediate impact in this window.

Thats been our problem not so much the fees but the contracts.

Thats why weve had so many run their contract down, were in a situation right now were thats the only way we can attract a player with real quality.
