Watching Potter go off on the journo here gives you an idea of the state of the market.

Everyone is trying and everyone is looking but Joe Bloggs who goes on forums up and down the country just think you click your fingers and you get the players you want at the price you're happy with.

1 in 2 and all the attributes to be succesful in the PL

I suspect that's probably why he's long since been on the radar of the likes of United, Arsenal, Chelsea, the RS etc. He wont be choosing us over the top teams any time soon.

What’s everyone’s favourite transfer window tropes then?

“We go with what we’ve got” is always a hoot

And when we get linked with a player it’s always funny when someone suggests:

“we’ve got more chance of signing *some other known person with the same surname*”

This one is particularly funny when the person who’s name they use has never even been involved in football at all.

Ive always been a big fan of the "Sign anyone, please!" followed shortly by "FFS not him".

Ferguson is a walking injury and Brighton are asking for silly money (over £40m).

Neil is a huge gamble for £15m also.
