Everton January 2025 Transfer Thread

lol if my doctor told me "I have no idea when you will recover. Some time between 1 day and 1 year, and you shouldnt lift heavy objects for some number of days or months" Id be livid. Ive NEVER heard of a surgeon that doesnt give a recovery timeframe, especially in this day and age of modern medicine.

There are a few words in the english language that can be used when one doesnt know how long it might be to express that, such as "unknown". I suppose you would also have been fine if they said he will be out "some number of days"?
Everton can confirm injury updates to Orel Mangala and Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Mangala sustained an anterior cruciate ligament knee injury late on during the Blues’ 1-0 win at Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday that will sideline the on-loan midfielder for the rest of this season. The Belgian international will now see a specialist to determine the next step for his recovery.

Calvert-Lewin sustained a hamstring injury in the 12th minute at Brighton which will require a specialist opinion and is likely to sideline the striker for a number of weeks.

Joyce said we were looking at a 2nd opinion, it seems like its not straight forward and they simply dont know yet.

Maybe Davey will have more info tomorrow.

It makes no sense for them to sell now, they could get £25-3 at a push now, if they loan him out and he has a good half season they could maybe get more.
£30m gets you Beto these days.
25m used to get you Beto.

Now, we would bite yer hand off for 15m and probably not get it.

When we signed Beto, the club issued some of his stats, it was pretty bizarre. Especially with them gushing of his top 80 percentile figures in several categories in Serie A. Little did they know what that really meant.

(Kev DeConk- note to self "I must take a night course on percentiles")

We have " No return date" on four players at the moment according to the PL injuries site, concerning somewhat.

Can somebody please provide the top three rumours of the day?

1. Someone called Pepsi or Cola was signing from PSV this morning and he scored against the rs but now he isn't
2. We've put that Chelsea winger in some concrete because we couldn't get a Strasbourg player with diarrhea
3. Evan Ferguson is on the mulling list and we're waiting to see if we want to ponder tomorrow
