What is "a number of weeks"? Why cant they ever tell any useful info about injuries?

As far as I was aware both "2" and "763" are a number of weeks.

Probably something to do with the fact that if someone says "he will be out for 4 weeks" we'd have people wetting themselves if he was actually out for 5 or 6.

Garner is very very average, hence he’s at us and has never been a consistent first choice even when fit. Longstaff has played in the CL so I’m happy enough with that.

Longstaff is okay and uninspiring and 27.

Garner is a really good footballer, who can play well in several positions. Is a good passer, combative, has good close control, an excellent cross and a good set-piece delivery. He is still only 23 and has a high ceiling.

As for your CL point, Djimi Traore has won the bloody thing, so . . .

As far as I was aware both "2" and "763" are a number of weeks.

If he's out for the season and we're negotiating for a replacement then announcing he is out for the season would weaken our position. "Number of weeks" is a usefully vague phrase to avoid tipping your hand.

People will be making up links to Richy until the day he retires. Spurs, who could be below us in the table after the weekend, are not selling one of their few uninjured players in the last few days of the window (even if they were open to do business, Levy would demand a price out of our range no doubt).
