I'm not sure that is the case. It sounds more like we are getting the players thelwell wants but Moyes doesn't.

That isn't what it sounded like at all. He quite clearly said 'we' when for what you're talking about he would almost certainly have said 'I'.

Chelsea haven’t breached PSR - whether you agree with how they’ve got around it or not, the fact is they haven’t

City - part of a much larger case as has been explained countless times.

I understand and accept that a club in our position is going to be doing deals late, if at all due to having to pinch pennies and wait for other dominoes to fall, etc. What I don't quite get is comments like "it may not be the players we'd like to have brought in."

The club is under ownership that will have very recently undertaken extensive due diligence on its finances. The PL have signed off on the fact we haven't breached PSR, so there should be no further question marks over the numbers reported internally. How, then, have we not cut our cloth accordingly from day 1 of the manager and DoF working together? How have we been able to waste time on targets that, if they are out of our price range now, will have been out of it weeks ago also?

Or did I just misunderstand the comment?

The point is the options are limited in Jan so spending savvily is key , don't want to make an heavy investment on a player who doesn't fit long term plans. Don't get me wrong I expect players in but im not expecting any high profile signings its Jan and we're hindered by psr
