Everton January 2025 Transfer Thread

Bet you were absolutely gutted when Doucoure scored weren’t you.

Thank the gaffer for the ‘miracle’ you were moaning could never be delivered and stop bringing him up every five minutes like some jilted lover.

Well sadly you’re the only one living in the past here constantly bringing up a game from 2 years ago as if football matches haven’t been played since.

Strange move for him.

Btw he was never a team mate of Scott Parker at Spurs.
I’ve just checked that, Edward’s would have been like 13/14/15 years old in spurs youth team while Parker was there.

It’s like the myth that Ferguson performed really well for Potter at Brighton despite only getting 22 mins in 1 game at 3 nil down.

No one fact checks anything anymore.

Just looked at all the jarg rumours and reports . To sum up am i right in thinking we have sold mills and alcarez is signing today ? Nothing else happening ? Is Alcarzez really happening or is it bull ?

Curious to know what position we go after next if at all, after Alcaraz.

We are short of striker cover right now but it seems like all 3 injured strikers are likely to be back in 4-8 weeks, and that Charly can play false 9 if needed.

I would still like a couple more attacking players. Wouldn’t surprise me if we end up with Soule on loan from Roma.

The striker thing is hard as quite a number of teams want them in this window but Id be astonished if we are not trying to look at one next.

That’s actually worse.

Anyway, Edwards would 100% have come here if he’s willing to go to Burnley. If he didn’t it’s because we don’t want him for what i would like to think is a valid reason.
Hes not too good either. Mid late 20s no one decent remotely linked, top end championship might be his level. Am i right in saying hes not super regular for sporting also?

He might be a craig hignett of the 2020s, too good for championship, not good enough for prem. I think we looked at him amd decided theres better elaewhere... but i might be talking codswallop also

The internet and social media has made lazy 'journalism' a breathing ground

Just on Marcus Edwards, the deal is a loan with a 10 million pound obligation. He may turn out to be awful, but it wasn’t too long ago he was touted at a £50/60m wonder return to Spurs. I’m very bias because I like him as a talent, but the structure of the deal seemed ideal to our needs. That being said, I’ve got no idea how many international loans you’re allowed.

Moyes said 1,5 month for Broja and that he is back before DCL. Chermitti also doesn't sound like he will be back soon. we can not afford to play February and maybe March with 1 fit striker who was close to leaving & not deemed good enough. Besides all injured strikers can't be rushed back with recent injury record
