Everton January 2025 Transfer Thread

Curious to know what position we go after next if at all, after Alcaraz.

We are short of striker cover right now but it seems like all 3 injured strikers are likely to be back in 4-8 weeks, and that Charly can play false 9 if needed.

I would still like a couple more attacking players. Wouldn’t surprise me if we end up with Soule on loan from Roma.
We still lack pace a forward with pace would be very useful

Strange move for him.

Btw he was never a team mate of Scott Parker at Spurs.

I’ve just checked that, Edward’s would have been like 13/14/15 years old in spurs youth team while Parker was there.

It’s like the myth that Ferguson performed really well for Potter at Brighton despite only getting 22 mins in 1 game at 3 nil down.

No one fact checks anything anymore.
Parker was a youth coach at Tottenham. That might be where the connection is

Just on Marcus Edwards, the deal is a loan with a 10 million pound obligation. He may turn out to be awful, but it wasn’t too long ago he was touted at a £50/60m wonder return to Spurs. I’m very bias because I like him as a talent, but the structure of the deal seemed ideal to our needs. That being said, I’ve got no idea how many international loans you’re allowed.
If you take a random look at any page on this forum, that question would have baan asked and answered repeatedly

In fact, go and look on any transfer thread on this forum and that same question is asked over and over

Not a go at you, but I'm just bored of repeatedly having to skip past the same question on the number of loans allowed on every single page

Hes not too good either. Mid late 20s no one decent remotely linked, top end championship might be his level. Am i right in saying hes not super regular for sporting also?

He might be a craig hignett of the 2020s, too good for championship, not good enough for prem. I think we looked at him amd decided theres better elaewhere... but i might be talking codswallop also
John McGinley syndrome, for those of us of a certain vintage
