Actually I think Lindstrom is playing the role that Moyes wants close to perfectly.
As an interesting aside Pienaar stats under Moyes 2-3-4-2 on goals per season his first 4 here so 11 in 114 (8730 minutes) - pretty much all as a starter near enough. He had 18 assists in the same number. 1 goal per 791 minutes, 1 assist per 485 minutes.
Lindstroms minutes so far are 871 minutes played, to match Pienaars output (which nobody criticised) he'd need like 2 goals and 4 assists the rest of the season. Doable - very much so he's came close to scoring a few times now and if Dom had any finishing instinct he'd be sat on a few assists already, Beto will finish those chances.
And that's competing him with someone who played out and out midfield with one if the best overlooking fullbacks we've had behind him, Lindstroms currently playing a hybrid wingback role almost for us.
Said it before but since he came in and started in was allowed to get forward more the side has scored 8 in 3 games and looked far more dangerous.
His stats for Frankfurt btw show a player who can score and provide assists but the eye test shows that right now imo.
