for a few seasons Ali was fantastic in the box, but he virtually held Kane’s hand, he offered nothing outside the box. Very Average on the ball, technically nothing special, would lose the ball a ton. But as per usual the media went into overdrive as England’s saviour, he’s played in 2 tournaments and done nothing.
If we were playing a system to suit a number 10 and needed more goals, then maybe stick him next to DCL and just get balls into the box, but that’s not the way we’re playing. And add in all the off field stuff and it’s a big no no for me.

You're arguing Dele Ali wouldnt get in the squad ahead of the likes of Siggurdsson and Gomes - the same Ali who was fantastic under managers he liked playing under like Poch.
As usual the football hipsters are writing him off because he's been poor under Mourinho who he doesn't get on with.
Same Ali who was bossing it in Champions League Semi Finals and banging 15+ goals a season from midfield is no good for Everton when kin Gomes and Sigurdsson are getting a game in our midfield - you couldn't make it up lol
He’s been poor since about 2017 and has never bossed it in a Champions League semi final, he also isn’t a midfielder. Impressive amount of wrongness in one post, even for you.
no, for a number of reasons:
1. We don’t play a system which he’s suited for
2. He’s not disciplined and is very technically limited
3. He has a terrible attitude

Of course he's a midfielder - in a system that had Allan and a proper defensive midfielder like Gbamin playing the holding role nothing stopping us signing a more attacking midfielder like Ali.
You make the system to suit your players not do what we are and playing the likes of Tom Davies at wing back.

I know it’s a cliche, but have you ever watched him play? He is nothing like a midfielder, he’s never played in that position apart from for England when it essentially left us with 10 men and knocked us out the World Cup. He is a second striker, he plays right up next to a centre forward. If he’s not getting on the end of chances then he’s practically completely useless.

He's an attacking midfielder in my eyes but he's still a midfielder - if we were serious about signing Ali then we could certainly find a role for him considering we are playing Godfrey at LB, Iwobi at RWB and have played Andre Gomes as some weird sort of winger at points this season.
Atleast with Ali he'll get you goals which is more than can be said for the majority of our squad.
