Everton January transfer window 2021

Maybe in the summer they'd force that through. In January Leverkusen would rightly tell us to find 100m or get lost.

It doesn't make sense for the player to leave when there's a league trophy at stake, either. Lead the line to a title over Bayern and Leipzig, and doors open.

One does not ordinarily move from Leicester to Chelsea or City, to name a couple of examples.

I know Brands doesnt like to buy in January, as should be the case, but when Don Carlo comes to him and says "We are 1 player away from the champions league this season), Marcel will get his man.

People are aware that Leverkusen could be 4 points clear of Bayern at the top of the table by the end of Saturday right? And as such they probably won't be selling their top attacker for just 40m?

We most likely missed our chance with Bailey. There was plenty of evidence of his talent last year when he was a bit in and out of the team and going for him then could have gotten us a real steal. Now the price will be massive.

You underestimate just how hard covid has hit teams certainly outside of the Prem financially.

Leverkusen would drop their knickers at £50 millions.

Why Everton should try and win the race for Reims striker Boulaye Dia

Profile

Born in France to parents of Senegalese descent, Boulaye Dia started his career with Jura Sud in the lower divisions before being snapped up by Stade Reims in 2018. He made his Ligue 1 debut against Angers and went on to register 3 goals in 18 league appearances in his debut season at the club.

Dia established himself as a regular starter for Reims during the previous campaign, ending the 2019-20 season with 7 strikes in 24 Ligue 1 appearances. The highly-rated young striker has really come to the fore with a stunning start to 2020-21, netting 8 times from 12 league outings for his club so far.

Please don’t quote or link to the S*n.

Lots of talk of new DM but while there is a desperate need for Carlo to bring more of his own players into midfield there isn’t space in the squad right now. This is where Brands needs to earn his money. Priority has to be off loading Delph and replacing him with a mobile, aggressive centre mid. I would say Gomes as well but I don’t think it’s realistic now given Allan’s injury. Hopefully we also pay off Bolaise and Besic and make them free agents, they are obviously too toxic to find clubs now so let’s free up wage space

Any names being mentioned?

Looks like Bolasie will be off to Middlesbrough, on loan, but he's on about £75k a week and I think Boro will probably only pay about £25k a week so not going to make much back there. Besic had offers in the summer and turned them down, so I think he is going to stay and see his contract out. I guess he's not that bothered about actually playing football. The only other one that had been linked with a move is Tosun. On loan again, back to Turkey, but again they won't cover all his wage. If he could get a move to a Prem club that would at least cover his wage then that wouldn't be the worst situation, as long as we got someone else in. Now that Big Sam is at West Brom maybe he would come in for him
