Everton January transfer window 2021

I reckon the handful of games people have seen of him for Everton playing well are more than the amount of games you saw him for Norwich where you didn't think he was up to much.
Maybe after the last week.

But like he's not a fullback long term right? So is it still fair to say maybe we should give it some time? I don't even want to be right here, I'd really genuinely like for him to be awesome but I'm not going to lie to myself about it and I'm just not ready to proclaim him the next Jagielka yet much less the next Baresi.

Cos hes English.

If his great Grandad went on holiday to America once you would be calling him the Messiah.

Eh that's not true though because everyone on here does the "why did Brands sell Robinson???" and I actually still really don't know that Robinson is any good. And he'll probably go to two World Cups with us.

Plus you know how I feel about Michael Keane.

It is absolutely vital that Brands finds buyers in this January window for a couple of the dead weights in the squad. We've just put in three strong performances against decent quality sides in a week, but the physical strain is showing and we lack quality in our substitutes - we really need to strengthen in CM and up front. If we keep pushing Doucoure and DCL to play every game they will eventually break. We simply have to clear some space on the payroll and use the funds to bring in another starting standard player (or two).

Kalvin Phillips from Leeds is the target I'd like to see us go for.

Was just thinking about the reports from France recently, regarding the need for many clubs there to raise funds because of the collapsed tv deal. Anyone know if PSG are affected by this, or are they so rich it’s irrelevant to them? I’d be keen to see one Idrissa Gana Gueye come to us on loan in January...

Gana starts for them all the time, he scored for them tonight. They have no intention of letting him go anywhere at all.

Fancy finding you here.

Sadly, I've been through this before with several players where after a handful of games everyone proclaims they are great/terrible based on those early returns and a lot of preconceived thoughts on the transfer.

So on Godfrey I am on track to be wrong but I would like for everyone to keep it in their pants for at least maybe half a season? A whole season? I think that is reasonable enough, but since I'm saying it I know you'll disagree.

We should deffo buy Buendia, though, Big Ig's been keeping up with him in the championship on the YouTubes.
