I watched them ship goals last year. This year I've not watched 90 minutes but I have watched clips to check up on Buendia and before that our old friend Kieran Dowell. And to be quite honest I can't remember Aarons doing anything in them now that I think about it.

You said this a few weeks back when people were slating Godfrey.

Going swimmingly for you now isn't it.

Koeman tried it but with Rooney and Davy Klaassen instead of Eriksen and James.

im never a fan of three number 10s. Etoo Barkley Naismith, Rooney Klaasen Sigurdsson. It always ends up unbalanced.

Play our best number 10 in his rightful position and put genuine wide options out wide to stretch teams and give the 10 some space.

Way to cover both bases there.
Look he still hasn't played CB in a back four which is what I think he was bought to do. And the closest he's been is CB in a back three and that was less than the best. Unless you think he's a fullback going forward?

But has he shown a level of ball winning and physical traits that I didn't think he had? Yes he has.

Digne, Rico and DCL.
I wouldn’t have had Digne on the list b/c I think it’s as much the system as the player for him (he’s still top quality FWIW).

they’re all top drawer though (Allan & James inc). Just down to opinion as to who is ‘irreplaceable’.

would prefer to have them all.

Even when he's wrong, he's actually right!
Fancy finding you here.

Sadly, I've been through this before with several players where after a handful of games everyone proclaims they are great/terrible based on those early returns and a lot of preconceived thoughts on the transfer.

So on Godfrey I am on track to be wrong but I would like for everyone to keep it in their pants for at least maybe half a season? A whole season? I think that is reasonable enough, but since I'm saying it I know you'll disagree.

I reckon the handful of games people have seen of him for Everton playing well are more than the amount of games you saw him for Norwich where you didn't think he was up to much.
