Everton January transfer window 2021

Honestly it is tough to answer without knowing all the details. But are Wolves going to sell us Neves or even a lesser player like Dendoncker in January? No chance at all.

Are we a more appealing club than Wolves on the whole? I'd say yes.
Neto is the only player I would go for there. He is awesome - 20, skillful, very fast, and takes everyone on.

Wouldn't bring anyone in to be honest, id take a Branthwaite signing alright, but nothing for the first team.

Areas id strengthen but not until the summer are full backs and the flanks. I think we could player trade Gylfi and Bernard and look to improve, Bolaise will be a distant memory then to. Possibly upfront but id be hoping not to loose Moise and that would dictate that.

why not? If quality player is available why not.

This jan will be very interesting, with covid and football in severe financial turmoil, clubs will be looking to sell, the negotiation will be a balance affair instead of sellers market.

We need another striker and a central midfielder.

Not to bring a striker in would be negligent. Granted the market will be slow/difficult and money is tight, but we also have the option of using loans.

I accept its harder to do business but I don't accept its impossible. We have a whole operation geared to scouting and transfers and thats what Brands and his team are there for. I don't believe Ancelotti will want to pass up any opportunities to strengthen the squad by whatever means, whatever his public comments might suggest.

There is a great amount of flux this season and possibly an opportunity existing for us to get a top six place. We have suffered greatly due to injuries as it is and it would be hugely disappointing if we were to miss out primarily due to to that reason.

We simply cannot go through the 2nd half of the season bringing Tosun on. Expecting nothing and getting nothing.

Because i believe strongly its a poor market. I also believe its more often then not poor value.

I dont think we need anything to be honest, we're in second place, we have had a lot of injuries, we have players returning, the lads who have stepped up have gotten results.

I think this group of players deserve a tilt at Europe.

Also, we're posting massive losses, i wouldn't purposely go looking to adding to our cost base. While we have players on over 60k a week who arent included in our PL squad, in truth we have a surplus of players and very little need for it to be added to in an often poor market.

All of the above considered, the Jan market doesnt tick a lot of boxes for me and the clever play is waiting for the summer.

There's a lad at PSG who seems to be doing well. 7 goals in 10 starts for them this season.

A striker is critical if we are to sustain these performances. Can Kean be called back from PSG? Surely being called back from a team in a title contention spot is a counterweight to walking away from PSG?

I don’t think this Jan window can be classed like the others. Clubs are really up against it... thankfully the PL seems to be the one exempt league probably because of global outreach.
There is great value this window... sad as it may be if we target the clubs who are really up against it I believe there are bargains like no other Jan window this time
