Everton January transfer window 2021

Under moyes & Kenwright, there were a few January’s that we were in the mix for top 4. But never gambled once, shock horror and missed out every time.

It wouid surprise me, if Moshiri is pushing Ancelotti and brands to do something in January.

If Buendia is so good why is he still at Norwich.
for me he’s another small tricky player that doesn’t score goals. We already have iwobi who doesn’t score playing in the front 3.

we have James, who obviously won’t be fit every week, but can play in a few positions. All the best teams have pace & goals at the top end of the pitch, that’s the player/players we should be targeting
You'll never believe this but sometimes clubs mess up their evaluations of players.

This time of year everyone seems to forget that the only payers you’ll get in January are players that are totally unwanted by their current teams. That means players like Bolasie and Besic for us.

So what players are realistically available that have nothing to offer their current team but will be able to come in and immediately contribute to our push for Europe? Even players like Doucoure and Allan took a few months to hit their stride here. We don’t have time for that if we’re only signing players with this year in mind.

Obviously I’d love to find someone who can add value immediately, but I won’t be surprised if we can’t find that. January seems to be better for finding young players for the future like we did with Braithwaite, Stones, etc.

pkayers are out of contract in 6 months so they can be picked up , players wanting game time for the euros or world cups are available and forcing moves ...

Look, there's no 'proven' route to becoming a good player for us. Could be a relegated player who had been at their club a while (Doucoure), could be a relgated player who had only come through recently (Godfrey), could be an out-of-favor Galactico or they could be the captain of a big highly rated European team (Klaassen) or a young striker bagging a bunch at a small team in the continent after coming through the Barca academy (Ramirez).

Point is, all that matters is if they're good enough and attainable. Buendia is certainly attainable but I've no idea if he's good enough, but the fact he's at Norwich doesn't mean he isn't.

He does, but I doubt he has the ability to prove it left.

It would be massive gamble, hes on 350k a week, I doubt Arsenal would help us out much with that.

Every players a gamble, but Ozil is possibly a little bit much.
Couldn't we of said the same thing about James Rodriguez though?

I think he could do a job and if willing to take a pay cut then it could play out well

I did say the same thing about Hamez mate.

I had big doubts, but hes Hamez.

Ozil was a great player, but that was a long time ago, hes also 3 years older.

With Hamez it wasn't his talent, it was the injuries, Ozil isn't Hamez and I don't know how much hes got left.

Fair answer that mate. I still think short term he could do a decent job. Obviously having league experience also helps that.

Who would you be looking at? Sarr at Watford is also a raw talent we definitely should be all over but can't see us spending the money required
