Alright lads, only read the last couple of pages. Im sure the Zaha shout has been mentioned, what are people saying regarding him?

For me, I know he'd be expensive both in value and wages with 2.5 years left on his contract but in our current standing in the league, I think we should gamble. He's proven, has wanted to come in the past, if we go in hard and early for him, maybe he could persuade Palace to sell. Get four good months out of him and our chances of CL and who knows what else would massively increase surely.

What do you reckon?

This is my argument.

But, whether we have the money for what Palace would want is another.

I don't think it should be beyond Brands to negotiate a deal which is structured/spread out over a few seasons - most are - and factor in the dross like Besic and Bolasie leaving at the end of the summer, and the likelihood of selling Kean.

However, it'd probably be more astute to go out and get someone younger, from another league. There's additional risk there but the reward is potentially bigger.

We need to do something, though. We can't let an opportunity to push on slip because we didn't make that one move when we needed to.

Glad I'm not the only one haha.

I prefer younger players usually but my emphasis is more on gambling now, trying to buy extra goals and assists for this season. We may not get the capital gains but if but how much is CL worth? Hard to put a price on it but I think his fee is worth it.

I know the Mosh wants to 'do a Spurs' in terms of CL football coming with the new stadium.

What do you think there asking price is Toff? 50m still or lower?

Most if not all deals are stretched over a few seasons.

We spent the Kean and Richarlison money in the Summer.

We cant keep spending without any thought of where the moneys coming from, sure Mosh has been eager, but at some point, FFP will come home to roost.

We need Outs, then we can see.

I get people like to estimate what the club can or can't do but tbh none of us are really all that aware how football clubs are *actually* run financially so best to not bother imo and see what happens.

That's a huge amount of money though isn't it mate.

I'm not too sure we've got that level of money..... Unless we could throw in about 3 players.

God knows mate - the owners seem 1 step ahead of FFP all the time so if they spend im sure they'll have something up their sleeve.

Have to remember USM naming rights will come in once PP is sorted on BMD - could easily be £20-30 million a yr paid immediately or even the full whack (say a £100 million in total 5 yr deal paid all up front by uncle Usmanov) which wipes our defecit completely.

Add in gamble for CL qualification and the revenue that would bring/ selling Kean in the summer for a decent whack too many what ifs to be second guessing for me.

I said about 20 times we couldnt afford Hamez.
I said Kean didn't even know what Everton is.
Carlo Ancelotti at Everton? LOL

So yeah, nobody and certainly not me has a clue.

My concern is that people get into their heads that's its dead easy to do, just pay 50m and Zaha is ours, then when it doesn't happen, they get angry and blame the club, shake their fist and wonder why they didn't do this very simple thing.

But its not just Zaha, its 20-30 players, that the club should have signed, unrealistic expectations which fuels bed wetting.

Me I prefer to just say it wont happen, then be happy when it does.

Who knows what will happen with FFP moving forward, Moshiri May see this aaa huge opportunity.

There always the get out of jail card, selling Richarlison or DCL, if it doesn’t work out.

Moshiri put his hands in his pockets for the money which got us those players. Not all of it, but he helped top up the coffers.

Yes, he'll want it back, but they are interest free loans. They won't be based just on sales.
