For the love of crap we need side creativity. We need intelligence. We need speed.

Our first instinct, for whatever reason, is too go backwards. Doucoure had multiple Chelsea in the first half to open up by going inside or forward and he defaulted to go out or backwards. We NEED help up front. We just got shut out by a keeper who hasn't had a clean sheet in 5 years and we did nothing to push him.

With all these links to Sami khedira can someone explain to me what he will bring? I know he's a midfielder but I don't know much other about him

On the plus side he’ll offer a winning mentality, football brain, good range of passing, leadership. A real midfield general.

As has been said his lack of game time and injury record is a worry. Either Carlo is desperate or he thinks he can get something out of him.

True but cant see it not happening.

If it allows us to spend actual money on a proper back up CF or pacey RW then im all for it.

We desperately need options on the bench its a bunch of rag tag no marks.

wages for me that are the issue, just not sure what 33-year-old Khedira, who played 28 minutes of football in 2020, can offer us.

Just go all out and get that forward, rather than spaff £100k p/wk on a slow midfielder

Depends what the plan is - if bringing in Khedira on a loan whilst selling Delph for £4-5 million happens then its good business regardless of if Khedira himself isnt a great option long term.

The CF/RW have to be priorities for me as once Allan is back the midfield is sorted until hopefully Gbamin is fit and can provide adequate cover. A RW coming in would also see James booting Sigurdsson out of midfield which is another positive.
