For the love of crap we need side creativity. We need intelligence. We need speed.

Our first instinct, for whatever reason, is too go backwards. Doucoure had multiple Chelsea in the first half to open up by going inside or forward and he defaulted to go out or backwards. We NEED help up front. We just got shut out by a keeper who hasn't had a clean sheet in 5 years and we did nothing to push him.

Yes doucoure isn’t great at passing. Seems to lack belief. But he has obviously give us things we need. Power, legs and aggression.

On the plus side he’ll offer a winning mentality, football brain, good range of passing, leadership. A real midfield general.

As has been said his lack of game time and injury record is a worry. Either Carlo is desperate or he thinks he can get something out of him.

I've been reading Carlos book and you can see similar ideas that he put in the past for psg and real, but I kinda feel he has this with gomes .. we need a creative midfielder with vision. Who can make something out of nothing, who that is I don't know.
But we have decoure and Allan, with tom as backup.
I would say Allan is the general of midfield, we still have Delph as a back back back up

He cant pass very well. Why would we put him in midfield?

Nothing personal mate, but how can you watch us today and think the answer to our problems is to play a CB in the middle of the park?
