Everton January transfer window 2021

My point is more that they have spent an awful lot of money to be marginally ahead of us. So it's hardly a massive tick in the box for youth development. Theyve brought a couple through, as we have

The only club to do a worse job than United with that kind of money is in a full-bore crisis with their best player leaving.

I like to think that SAF had one conversation with Woodward, said, "Davey can hold the bag for this #$%&, I'm out" and retired.

Make that 3 a 5 and we're in range at least.

If we don't get £40m for him im going to go off my nut. Hes just turned 20 and tearing up their league. We got him for £25m and that was only because he had a year left on his contract!

Aside of course from the part where we paid 30m for him originally and nobody thought it was a bad deal.

Well 26m but yeah, I didn’t. I thought it was a bargain for a generational talent. Doesn’t matter now though

So we either take PSG’s deal now, or we have 2 choices; bring him back and hope he performs, or loan him out again and hope his value increases me. Both of these are massive gambles. Take the dough

Right but it has to be way more. 31m is at least 10m short in my opinion and even at 40ish we should probably be including sell on % and add ons.

Kean - £31m

Can't see the club doing that especially because they have a loan fee from PSG for the season and PSG have just installed Poch as manager so I'd expect they will wait until the loan is up and negotiate then.

If we do sell, it's £35m plus 20% sell on MINIMUM.

From memory the fee was £22mil with £5mil in additional clauses.

His book value today would be about £15.4mil as he wont have hit the clauses.

For an italian international 20 year old forward, playing and scoring for one of the richest clubs in the world then that sale carries a premium.

If its true that theyre making him an offer now then clearly its a priority for them to tie him down...that also should carry a premium.

He's 1.5 years into a 5 year deal and the length of contract hes under also carries a premium.

Since 00/01 season they have signed 15 players for more than €31mil:

Comparing the players listed you'd put him in the €40-50mil range which is about £36-45mil.

Id be asking for £60mil based on the factors listed above but £40mil+ id be ok with as its £25mil on the book value profit.

Wonder if the Max Aarons rumours are related to this...

Sell Kean + sign Aarons...
I'd be stunned if Norwich sold anyone key to their side for anything resembling a reasonable price in January. Promotion is worth what, 120m? No chance they risk that when they can wait to the summer and sell Aarons, Buendia and whoever else for the same amount whether they're going up or not.

And if they do go up they might even be in a position to demand more.

Highly likely.

However, Aarons + Olsen fees would probably equal the Kean fee (if we sold at £31-35mil).

Then we'd bank the book profit.

Just a thought :)

Personally I'd find that very disappointing.

I think RB is a position we should be looking to fill somewhat cheaply and save the bigger spending for CM and the attacking positions. And Olsen doesn't need to be made permanent if he isn't going to play much.

Agreed he is a very bankable player.

I'd imagine he will make the Italian Euro Squad should he stay fit so his value will only go up.

He is a £30-40m player and when you look at Brewster going for £25m to Sheffield United, you would think PSG really wanted him then £30-40m would be very reasonable.

By the way, this story is BULL and is classic Sky Sport NO News Clickbait to get mugs to bet on him leaving.

Wouldn't mind those two but for me at this time I'd prefer a ball carrying winger or striker. We look devoid of options up front at the moment

Would love to know how signing a RB is going to stop us needing to keep playing Tom Davies & Gyfi Siggurdsson in the midfield whilst ensuring Bernard & Toshun are not our go to players off the bench up top and out wide.

Signing a RB this window is a waste of money imo - if we get europe or not will be determined by what quality we bring through the door up top / out wide positions imo.
