They wanted to move him on in the summer but couldn't find a buyer. Mourinho's managed to improve him defensively but wouldn't be surprised if they still want to get rid at the end of the season.

Makes me laugh when people moan about the RS selling their young dross for the going 18/20mil+ but on the flip side can’t wait to practically give our young lads away despite having much more experience. Can’t have it both ways, based on market precedent, nationality, age and experience, he is worth more than 12million

The championship is a decent league and there are some decent players in it, id far rather buy some of the better players who play there than some of the rubbish that circulates through some of the european leagues.

Being serious I’m not in the Buendia camp, I know some on here are and on twitter, I see Arsenal have been linked in the last 24hrs. Amd he could become a world beater in 2/3 years.


im not exactly sure where he plays, it seems right attacking midfield, now is that where James is, in one of the front positions or right wing in a 442.

James will be here for I’d imagine another 2 seasons, so Buendia can only play in the 10 role or right midfield in a 433. Amd I’m not sure he’s strong enough or defensive enough to play that role.,

I know it’s a squad game and having more quality is so important for us. I just want us to buy goals and power/pace. I don’t won’t to see another tricky small player in one of the front 3 positions who doesn’t score. We’ve seen over the last few games how we look a bit toothless, with no James and Richarlison off form.

Get a quality striker and another player with pace and a goal threat to put pressure on James/Richarlison and have James/iwobi as option if we won’t to play with a 10.

Well if he's worth more than £12m we'll get more than £12m. It's not hard. If we're willing to sell to Newcastle for £12m but really he's 'worth' £20m then someone else will come in and say we'll give you £15m etc. If they do, then there's no need to worry about him being undervalued, if they don't, then we can safely say he wasn't worth £20m. Again, a transfer value needs 2 parties to agree on it, just randomly assigning a value to player and saying he's now worth this much is not how it works.
