Everton January transfer window 2021

And Carlo has come out and said we ain’t thinking about signing new players. Obviously things can change and we can criticise Moshiri for lacking ambition.

But with games getting cancelled, there will be a back log and a lot of the teams around us have Europe, this could be a big chance.
I doubt we would let Bernard & tosun leave without at least one replacement.

But if we suffer injuries in The 2nd half Of the season, especially to the likes of DCL, Richarlison, James. And we end up 10th we then probably lose Richarlison and Digne and will need 7 new players in the summer and it’s another rebuilding job.

There is a window of opportunity and I hope we don’t pass it by

Summed it up better than I could.

Forgot about the prospect of Richarlison leaving, Digne might stay lets see if that contract gets signed.

Honestly I don't see the point in signing older players for experience because Carlo wants to start winning now... to then realise halfway through we are goig to need more players to go, nah actually we will take this slowly.

Honestly if we don't finish top 4 or at least top 6 what was the point in signing James and Allan in a long term strategy sense?

Oh is he? I haven't seen him coming through so maybe thats his natural position. He was definitely playing left back for United last season, and he looked left footed, but I'm only basing it off 4/5 senior games i saw so maybe he was just filling in.

Brandon Williams is a LB who's right footed, no thanks.

Apparently he's right footed, but has been playing mostly left-back. So yeah maybe just filling in.

If the plan was to bring him in as a right back then I’d be more open to it. Coleman and Kenny aren’t good enough.

I'm sure he's very capable of playing on his stronger side. I think it's just been the case that there have been more opportunities at left-back, seeing as though Luke Shaw isn't the most reliable fitness-wise.

Apparently he's a RB but plays LB for their U23s because they have another RB who is better (Ethan Laird).

I got this info from the comments section on a FIFA website, so I'd take it with a grain of salt.

And William's is?? He really isn't.

A couple of months seperates him from Ellis Simms and Anthony Gordon, and he has already played 40 times for United. May not be perfect or instantly improve us, but loads of potential and would go straight into the squad. Fast and a snide as well... no problems with it from here

Williams has played this role before, regularly for the under-23s, and in the first team against LASK and Norwich City.

He was selected at right-back for the under-23s on Friday night in the win over Everton.

Williams stood out, as you would hope, as one of the best players on the pitch.

Long term strategy would be to have a core of experienced, top quality players to keep us at the right end of the table while were rebuilding the squad.

We lose about 15 players this and next summer as their contracts come to an end.

The rung age wise behind Allan and James for example is Doucoure -- Godfrey -- Nkounkou. They will benefit from having these players in the team.

I do think weve got enough experience now and will focus on the age group under 25 moving forward. Aside from the odd experienced backup where needed like Olsen.

A right back, centre mid and another attacking player really could transform this starting 11 though.

One of them would do this window if we buy no one and come May we are crying about no Europe again it’s another missed opportunity with more ageing players on big salary.

This is club is mental honestly completely mental.

Did he tell you that? You don’t see the best goal keepers getting rotated in league games.

Pickford is under big pressure imo. And will need an excellent finish to the season to still be our number 1 next season

Pickford has been a car crash in recent months yet never gets dropped and if he's rotated the odd game he's guaranteed to be in between the sticks the following game regardless of how well Olsen does.

Doesn't sound like a keeper getting pushed out the door to me.

Whos betting we sign Romero on a free and do the swap deal for Olsen, then sell Pickford in the summer?

Brands likes himself a deal and Don Carlo likes himself someone other than Pickford.
I hope not. We should find better now. I dont get the obsession a few on here seems to have about us getting Romero at this point.

Well, if indeed we were in for Romero then surely we'll be offering him a contract now?

Better than Pickford and will fit in nicely with our Spanish-speaking players.

Him and Olsen next season, Pickford sold for 25m to anybody.
