Everton January transfer window 2021

He is what he is, i remember a few years back when he was making it plainly obvious that he was trying to find his way into the music industry, he was also the original social media footballer tbf.
I don't really have an issue with him taking the money to be fair. He's entitled too and we made the decision not to include him in the squad - what I take issue with is his whining about only wanting to play football. If that was the case he would find a club, offers have been there and, if what Warnock said in the summer is right, it was Yannick who broke the move down. At least own it, come out and say I don't want to go anywhere, I don't want to move my family mid-season. I'm free in the summer and I'll see what my options are then.

Not seen him play (just youtube) wiki has him as starting at Chelsea, moving to City and then joining Readings academy in 2018 before signing a 3 year deal.

Possible shades of Lamptey going to Brighton from Chelsea for peanuts here.

Worth keeping an eye on other teams academy players though we just had a 2 year ban of course...

happy sit back and take the money for a few more months. He's everything that was wrong with the Walsh/Koeman era and whilst I get his defenders who say well we gave him that contract and he seems like a decent enough guy, its been made painfully obvious for a few seasons now he has no future here and had first team football been his priority like he keeps saying he'd have found it somewhere else by now. Going on social media and doing interviews on ToffeeTV making out like he's a victim or something and just wants a chance? Nah mate. Dude's earning thousands of pounds each week to use the FF gym during a pandemic where parents are struggling to feed their kids. poor Yannick.

Don't agree with this at all. Out of all our dross he's the only one that appears unhappy he's still with us and not getting a chance. He was great until his injury and since then has agreed to go out on loan to play footie in Belgium, Portugal, as well as Villa. Deal to go to Boro last Summer collapsed but it wasn't down to him. He's actively trying to get somewhere for game time.

Nowhere near as bad as some of the dross like Tosun that constantly says he'll fight for a place.

Carlo gets what Carlo wants.

If he wants players, we will get players.

People think its Brands or Moshiri, but I know for a fact that if Carlo asked for players, they would find a way.

Outgoings are very important tho, without a few I doubt we have the required wiggle room.
Yeh. There is defo a bigger picture here. Carlo will not take the pee and just demand a 70 mil RB in January, at the same time, if there is a void that he feels can be filled, he will ask for it to be filled.

I get the impression they are all in complete agreement as to the "plan"

I think that's a very rosy outlook on playing what could end up as the worst side in this league in a long while. And the problem is it is colored by us winning on a goal that was half chance at best and finished very well. You say 2 to 3 chances but I put us down for 1 and that's the volley Dom put a bit wide.

Not that transfers are the solution to any of this but I just think we've got to be able to say we're playing good or bad based on more than whether we squeeze a goal or the opponents do.

But look at the team we fielded that day. No Allan, no James, no Richarlison, no Digne. Without doubt 4 of our best 5 players.

Look at the conditions. We'd played 4 games in the space of 11 days before that game, too, and late on a Boxing Day evening. It all has to factor in and ultimately we did enough. Had the chance from Dom, the chance where Iwobi snatched at it, and the goal. Not enough, but ultimately managed.

Not saying it was ideal or perfect, but with the players we had, it was a decent display.

We put in a crap display against West Ham.

Reasons being - created hardly any chances, no clear ones. Passing was crap, couldn't control the ball in the 2nd half and no penetration. We'd had a few extra days 'rest' on West Ham too, and we were at home.

Similar performances, but one far better than the other because of what was needed in each game.

BAYERN, EVERTON IN ZIRKZEE TALKS

Bayern Munich
and Everton are in talks over the transfer to Merseyside of 19-year old Dutch striker Joshua Zirkzee, according to Sky in Germany.

They are reporting that the two clubs have discussed an initial loan deal, with an obligation to buy the young striker in the summer.

Negotiations, however have stalled over the Bundesliga Champions’ demands for a £10m transfer fee to make the move permanent.

Insiders at Everton have dismiss the reports for this window, saying they are not currently pursuing the player.

What click bait is reporting that?

I miss the summer transfer window when we had 3 proper good old fashioned transfer sagas, complete with flight tracking, hotel stakeouts and that lad on Twitter saying “Announce Allan” “Gone quiet” every 10 minutes.
My personal favourite part was the facial expression analysis experts looking at 24 pixels of James' face at that welcome meal and deciding something had gone very wrong with the medical.

Personally I don't think you can say the West Ham game was poor and the Sheffield United game we deserved to win. Very similar performances just different results. Honestly probably Wolves too. Not that it matters when we're winning but West Ham does show how fine we've made our margins for error each week.
Thought we missed Keane personally. Holgate was often left in space with the ball but just doesn’t have the same passing range.
