Talks seem to have gone quiet over an AM. We were linked with Isco and Alli but I wonder if Iwobi playing well on the right and James being able to move central has ended our interest? Or more than likely it was only paper talk anyway.
 

Draining the swamp of wage blockage is a top priority.

Getting that wage bill down is first and foremost the most important part of our transfer plans.

Shifting out Tosun, Bernard and Besic and any other but part players like Kenny will leave us short in but we still have time to bring in a few players in the right areas.

Carlo is very coy regarding transfers and we don't make a sing and dance about players but expect movement soon

If you're expecting a defensive midfielder to go on runs with the ball, scoring goals and getting assist then thats your issue Because that's not what ancelotti has put davies in the team for. What he has put him in the team for he's doing, he's not amazing at it by any stretch but he is doing a decent job.

I agree the odd stat taken out of context such as your example of sigurdssons chance creation means nothing. I remember Phil nevile having the best passing stat in the league because he only ever passed it backwards to the defenders.

These aren't a odd stat though I put all of the significant stats for the roll that he has in the team and he is doing well at it. The issue is as you said though he is slow and so is gomes so they as a pair find it hard to get around the pitch as a pair.

I wouldn't be surprised if ancelotti kept with a midfield of, allan, Doucoure and davies for the rest of the season.

agree about gomes too.. last season when we had siggy , gomes , delph and davies as our Cm options we had nothing. We could not push up as nobody could get Bracken fast enough. None of them are able to play together as it effects the whole team in the most important part of the pitch .
 

Foo Kin No Won is the only player we will sign, which is a shame because I cant stand many more games like Leicester where we sit in and show little ambition and get dominated much to the delight of commentators.
