Because Lukaku was an absolute class player here, DCL done ok but I’m still not sure he will be the striker to lead us to the champions league or even Europa , Lukaku certainly would have been. Basically Lukaku is so much better than our Dom.

Why can he not just be Dom, he’s vastly improved his game in the last 18 months? Why does he need to be compared to past strikers?

Gilmour apparently in talks over a loan move from Chelsea to Southampton.

It isn't Marcel Brands who will be hawking these players around Europe it is the agents who have a vested interest in getting a fee for the player and if they can't do it then there simply are no buyers.
We know that Covid has completely supressed the market and seeing the league champions spending 2m on a journeyman centre half from the championship shows that more clearly than anything.

What we do see clearly now is the players the manager wants to work with and those he feels he doesn't need , even if that means leaving us very tight on numbers.

I do believe we will bring a player or two on loan until the end of the season.

How are we clearing the decks for the summers when the rubbish is only going out on loan and will be back in all their putridness in the summer ...rats returning for another feed at the trough.

Not like he has missed a host of clear cut chances, though, is it? We've tightened up defensively and in so doing are creating less. Not sure any other striker would have done much better in the last few weeks.

Derby County are interested in taking Beni Baningamie on loan until the end of the season. Probably best for him, he is no where near the match day squad. Rooney has possibly been in touch to see who he can have.
