I was disappointed we didn’t move for him in the summer tbh mate, partly because of his versatility and he’s a player I’ve always rated. He’s not had a decent time of it this season in the Championship, but probably because he just doesn’t want to be there. Also apparently the price is 5-6m which is a fair price compared to the 18m quoted in the summer. If we get a good deal wages wise then I'd say @GrandOldTeam was correct a few hours ago and a bit of gamesmanship has been going on in order to strike the right deal for us.
He had it ages ago mate.FFS. He's injured before he's even turned up
Oh, look - and I've said this before - as a player, he generally fits the bill.
But my point in the summer was, why not just do it then? It's probably not ended up costing us much less.
Or, why not push at the start of this window? Have it lined up, done.
I appreciate there's a lot of moving parts, but we now could be stuck with another player on possibly big wages (it'll be at least £60-70k) and even on a 2.5-year deal, that means he'll be 31 and a half by the time that runs out.
Wouldn't it have been more prudent to use the loan market? Wouldn't it have been more prudent to simply move for somebody else last summer, again on loan as a first option?
We were in for Zirkzee mate. A youngster at the other end of the spectrum. We wanted him, but needed to shift players. Fair enough, but then it's completely to the opposite end of the spectrum for King.
No profile of a player, no planning it seems.
I don't even think it's a 'panic' really, but it will end up looking like one.
I think he can be a useful player for us, but the argument that people had earlier that we were keeping our powder dry and Brands wasn't into signing anybody like Walsh would on big wages etc or whatever, well it's fallen down, again.
I'm actually more measured now than I was last night. Been on the bike and stuff - always helps - but it seems like some disjointed thinking. Anyway, if he comes, it's better than nothing and he knows how to score in the league - it's genuine competition for Rich and Dom, so an improvement.
Again there is not another group of people in world football besides Evertonians who don't rate Kean as a prospect. I guess maybe Fulham fans think King is decent too. Not sure many others. We're weird.Im willing to bet King scores more goals for Everton than the fella who plays for PSG.
I honestly only care about Everton.
And before you start again, yes, I hope Kean gets off the bench and scores more goals, so we can sell him for lots of money, but after hes kissed pine in Paris for 6months I suspect we will be lucky to sell him to Bournemouth to replace King.
They would rather talk about a centre half no ones ever heard of going to RS.Does anyone find it odd that SSN havent caught wind of this yet?
It wpukdnt surprise me tbh mate if we were in for Zirkzee and still wanted King with an eye on King taking Bernard's and Gordon's place and Zirkzee as back up and taking Tosuns place.
Summer they wanted 18m and it looks like far less this time around. Even though he's 29 and a deal takes us until he's 31 I don't mind someone with a bit more experience tbh mate. He's done the rounds, knows the PL, looks like we've got a decent price. Let's face it , we could be going for Zaha who is a year younger, similar scoring stats and he'd cost 50m!

If he completes this move I reckon he’ll do alright for us.

Even for someone who posts as much rubbish as you do you this is comedy.after hes kissed pine in Paris for 6months I suspect we will be lucky to sell him to Bournemouth to replace King.
