• £5m compensation package is being discussed
Southampton’s Ronald Koeman is close to becoming Everton’s new manager after the two clubs discussed a £5m compensation package.

The 53-year-old has been the No1 choice of Goodison Park’s major shareholder Farhad Moshiri since Roberto Martínez was sacked last month. Koeman would become one of the highest-paid managers in the Premier League on a £6m-a-year deal and has been promised substantial transfer funds by Moshiri.

What do you think of Everton's fixture list?

This could be an elaborate hoax, or this could be real, so you make your judgement.

Someone has posted the full Premier League 2016-17 season schedule on the Internets, over a week before the date of the official release.

To be clear, there is absolutely no confirmation from reputable sources anywhere that this is even remotely close to the real schedule that will be revealed on 15th June, 2016

But, if this is indeed the schedule for Everton, tell us how you feel about the fixture list as shown.

Leaked Everton 2016-17 schedule

Per the list shown above, the Blues open the season at home against AFC Bournemouth. The Toffees don't play a top four team until September 24th when they host Arsenal.

The first leg of the Merseyside Derby is at Goodison Park again, on the 20th of December in a festive fixture. The return leg at Anfield is on April 4th.

October will be a challenging month for Everton as they play away thrice, including a tilt with Manchester United while they host Antonio Conte's Chelsea on October 15th.

The Blues will be away to Middlebrough in their Boxing Day game, but then host Premier League champions on New Year's Eve.

Tell us what you think about this leaked schedule in the comments below.

Copa America 2016: Start times, TV schedule and live stream for Monday/Day 4 via Royal Blue Mersey

usa-today-8482526.0.jpg

Everton's Ramiro Funes Mori is in action tonight as his Argentina side takes on Chile at 10 p.m. EST

Just as Luis Suarez missed out of Uruguay's Copa America opener yesterday, it looks like his Barcelona teammate Lionel Messi will miss Argentina's tonight. But that doesn't make the matchup between the number one team in the world and number three Chile any less interesting.

Everton player alert!!! Ramiro Funes Mori is in the Argentine squad and looks to be the best option to slot next to Manchester City's Nicolas Otamendi in the center of defense.

Beyond that, there is a lot of star power set to be on display, even without Messi. Argentina is frothing with talent: Javier Mascherano, Javier Pastore, Angel Di Maria, Sergio Aguero and Erik Lamela among others.

But Chile is a strong group and will look to Arturo Vidal, Alexis Sanchez and Eduardo Vargas to put them on the front foot. And for Barcelona keeper Claudio Bravo to keep a clean sheet on the other end.

In the earlier matchup, it's tough to get too excited for any one player. Panama has a few MLS names to look for: Blas Perez, Anibal Godoy and Alberto Quintero. Bolivia is the lowest-ranked team in the tournament, so if you like an underdog, they may be your preferred option
