Ronald Koeman to let Oumar Niasse leave Everton via Royal Blue Mersey

The striker has failed to impress and will be allowed to leave on loan

According to the Mirror, Everton are set to part company with Oumar Niasse this summer.

The striker joined the Blues in the January transfer window when they paid £13.5 million to Lokomotiv Moscow for his services.

It has proven to be a poor piece of business so far though, with a series of uninspired performances at the end of last season under Roberto Martinez.

Ronald Koeman has since replaced the Spaniard at the club, and the Senegal forward has not managed to impress him.

The Dutchman has spent the last week in Austria assessing his squad, and has informed the club that Niasse will find it difficult to break into his team.

As a result he will be offered out on loan, with the Toffees unlikely to find a club that would be willing to pay what they did for his services just seven months ago.

A return to Russia is the most likely destination for the struggling forward, as he looks set to go down as another black mark on Martinez’s less than impressive transfer record at Goodison Park.

Ronald Koeman meets with Manchester City to discuss John Stones via Royal Blue Mersey

The Everton boss is looking to sweeten any deal, perhaps by City including Wilfried Bony

According to the Mirror, Everton met with Manchester City last week to discuss a move for John Stones.

The defender has been heavily linked with an exit from Goodison Park this summer, with Pep Guardiola thought to be keen on the England international.

Everton are not keen to lose one of his star men though and have slapped a £50 million fee on their man, a fee they want paid straight up.

So far a deal has not been done, but the Mirror reports that Ronald Koeman met Txiki Begiristain to discuss a deal last week.

The two are only friends, having played alongside each other for several years at La Liga giants Barcelona.

The meeting was far from a friendly one though as they met to discuss a potential move for Stones in the coming weeks.

According to the report, Koeman is looking at ways that he can sweeten the deal that would take the young centre back to the Etihad.

One possibility is him bringing striker Wilfried Bony to Goodison Park, with the Dutchman uncertain how committed Romelu Lukaku will be to the cause.
