Everton play like 'Stoke'

Ideal opportunity for Moyes or someone to put the boot in with the media on our side here.

Make no mistake if one of ours was telling lies the cannonade out of Anfield would be loud and plentiful, c'mon Moyes put a quote out about them being sh1te - just for a laugh like!

alledgedly one name on a long list of local villains who have sausaged alex "transvestite grid"gerrard.alledgedly her clunge contains more criminal dna than the police national computer.

I'd love to know if any of this was actually true.

Tbf I'd love to have a go on her.

There no point in Moyes saying anything about them to the media, we dont want to do their dressing room talk

Never did Joe Royle any harm. He used to wind them up big style about their crying and whjingeing and never lost a game to them.

There's a role for this stuff in this fixture.

Thankfully, the media's (even local) been fairly thorough in their analysis of the game. Anyone with a passing interest in either club will be aware that it was a desperate comment.

Moyes could've made more of Suarez's right to be on the pitch at the end. He was sheepish about it and played it wrong. However, I don't think it makes much difference. Even MOTD has praised our football this year. Nobody thinks we're a long ball team.

I understand that Gerrard's remarks are being framed as untruths by the bulk of the media, but that's not how it works in terms of determining what went on. Ask anyone with a passing interest in football now what went on in the game on Sunday and the only thing they're hearing in the background noise are the words: EVERTON LONG BALL...and that mud will stick beyond that game. We needed to muddy the waters by countering so that the words LIVERPOOL ASSAULTED EVERTON are uppermost in neutral's minds.

They know how to play this game and Moyes is leaden-footed on how it all works. For the benefit of the fans he should have been a lot cuter than what he was post match. Just saying Suarez left his foot in on one challenge wasn't enough. A big soundbite was called for.

Have to agree with this. I just know, now all the armchair fans will be quoting his tagline, google searches will put the headline across and when I go to training this week it'll be mentioned by the deluded rs, about how we play like Stoke.

There are still people who claim suarez said what he did to Evra because it's normal in his country despite suarez admitting himself in the report that it was used in an aggressive manner. Because most of them will never read past the headlines.

Indeed, a statistical breakdown of the match shows that Everton managed 359 accurate passes to Liverpool's 257 and produced twice as many crosses (34 to 17), most of them low, driven balls from the left by Mirallas or Baines. They also had more possession, more chances and committed fewer fouls.

So Stoke do that to them also? Is Gerrard trying to say that most teams outplay Liverpool, including Stoke?

Who cares? Anyone with an ounce of football knowledge will know the reality of not only this game but the season so far.

I couldn't give a rats ass if some armchair in Devon never gets beyond the headline & believes a load of old pony.

It's irrelevant to us.
