Didn't mind Neville at all until quite near his end when he actually started to hinder the team. Before that he was absolutely fine for me.

I just checked. Rodders was 12m rising to 15m with add-ons (which never happened...so 12m).

Lescott was 22m.

No I think people started disliking Neville when his skills dopped and have now retconned that into always hating him

He got old and lost his touch. Before that point, he was a decent player and even when he was on the downswing, he always tried

He took his job seriously and did it to the best of his ability

I see no reason to hate him. The blame should be on Moyes for still picking him long past the point where he was any good
