Everton player you disliked the most

Don't think i have ever disliked a player enough to think " Aye, hate him "

Really really hurt when Rooney left, especially the manner in which he left, the transfer request - painful, but the story goes he was led about that by that COCK A ROCH Stretford.

Top four in no order, Rooney for the way he left and then the celebration when he scored against us. Barmby just for being a rat. Dan Gosling, I love how his career has rocketed since leaving us, and finally Captian Fantastic Neville, hated him playing, rally cries and generally just being at Everton.

Don't get all the Neville hate. He was a liability in his last year but he played his heart out for the club.

If that was him playing his heart out then it was rarely good enough for us. At his best, he was a solid squad player. At worst, he was a captain constantly bringing us down, making some fans believe we should count ourselves lucky to be in the top half of the table.

That's called not knowing your history, and not respecting the fans. Moyes did it too in his final years. Good riddance to both of them. I just hope to ye gods that Martinez stays positive and ambitious.

Never liked Gerrard either.

Paul Gerrard? What was there to dislike about him?

How on earth did we get 5 pages into a thread about the most disliked Everton players before Wayne Rooney was mentioned?

He was mentioned earlier. Also, generally some of us have softened our stance towards him because:

a) his kids wear our blue.
b) we grudgingly respect his success at Man Utd.
c) we feel sorry for him for being rubbish at the big international tournaments.
d) he was still one of ours and provided so many class memories in such a short space of time.
e) for an 18-year old in 2004 the money we got for him really helped our squad.
f) he may yet come back (better make it quick, like...we don't want another past-it Gazza).

Phil Neville - Very limited footballer who, for the last 3 years he was here, should never have even got near centre mid. It was like playing with 10 men most games. Arse kisser who pretended to buy into what it meant to be a blue, when everyone knew he was united through and through, didn't take him long to scurry back there.

John Heitinga - Jarg hardman, who bottled challenges, couldn't mark a man in the area, and thought he was worldclass. Talking up a move every other week didn't do him any favours either.

Marouane Fellaini - Not the same level of dislike as the above two players, but I just didn't take to the guy. Sure, I rated him, but rating someone and liking them is totally different. His snidey elbows could've left us with 10 men on more than one occasion, and he went missing for games at a time, turning up about 1 in 3.

Steven Pienaar - Again wont be a popular choice like Fellaini, but the woman hitting drink driver has never endeared himself to me. I neither rate the guy nor like him. The pass for Naismith will stick in people's minds as it was last week, but he gets nowhere near the amount of assists/goals he should, he's tidy but he over hits/under hits tons of important passes. Utter beaut of a man too by all accounts.

a lot of peeps have mentioned bad players or traitors , but for me its a dislike of graeme sharp.
i dont know what it is about the man but i just dont like looking at him or listening to him.
if he was a tv show he would be sex and the city . the second i hear or see the intro , id get angry and just want to switch over.
even when i was a nipper and he was banging in goals i said 'oh no' and wished it was someone else who had scored.
i have never been able to put my finger on why but i just find it hard to like the bloke .
its something primal in me , but that face fart voice and beakey face grrrrrr it just makes me wanna slap him.

1. Barmby. The internet isn't big enough to fit in all the reasons.

Rooney also. For a boy who supposedly loved Everton as much as all of us, forgetting all that went before, WHY did he feel it appropriate to kiss his Man U badge during a match where we held a tribute to Alan Ball. Sickened me that.

Rod Belfitt, in the early seventies, as I always got his football card loads of times as a swap and he was always in his previous team's (Ipswich) kit, although I did become a bit of a bubble gum barren in the playground swapping him on!

Pienaar really?? The guy is class he has setup a few goals this season and is easily our most technical player

Probably a fair few afterwards. Mostly Jeffers because he was a complete tube of a man.

Whilst playing... I disliked Neville as a player as he seemed to be a liability over his last three seasons. I disliked Ginola because he gave less than a sh*t. I remember hating John Spencer at the time for the same reason.
