This season Everton is no place for a young player.
Next season with a settled squad ,manager and system he could be brought back and given strategic game time and see how he fits in.
I can see him in either as an 8 or a 10
Hopefully Gomes and Bernard stay and he can be understudy to both of those.

The bits I saw of Robertson he was very much as we’ve come to expect from him, a shaky start defensively including one sloppy back pass which could have lead to a goal against; some good positioning, tackling and clearances as the game went on; a few good crosses into the box a also a couple of good runs forward,including one diagonally up the pitch starting the run around his own area. I think he’d be exposed in the PL at the moment, but this loan is really doing him good, he’s getting plenty of game time and experience to allow him to develop.

This line seemingly gets trotted out every season when a young player isn’t that great.
I think that's par for the course with a fullback of his age.
I remember Coleman was very weak defensively when he first arrived but good going forward.
The loan to Blackpool was the making of him, hopefully the same could be true for Robinson!

Even when not producing superstars we are good at developing players who go on to make a good living.
A young player will do a lot better if he gets managed game time in a team with a settled side , a manager working with his own players who all know and buy into his philosophy
Garbutt cannot get into the oxford team down there in league 1. The best paid oxford player maybe on 100k a year but probably closer to half that. What has he ever achieved to warrant 1 million pounds a year? Lol i suspect he is not the only one to have sponged a whole living for doing virtually very little. Lucky bugger
