Championship
Bolton Wanderers - Joe Williams played full match in 0-1 home defeat to Hull City

OS Match Report
"Joe Williams beat Tigers captain Markus Henriksen to the ball shortly after, smashing a shot just wide of the far post with keeper David Marshall beaten."
"A wonderful flowing move between Williams and Oztumer saw the latter play in Olkowski on the right flank."

Twitter stuff
.@JoeWilliams0812 shrugs off the attention of Markus Henriksen before dragging a shot wide of the target from just outside the box. (12)
After @JoeWilliams0812 was fouled, a ball into the box towards @ClaytonThedon came loose to @Erhun_A_Oztumer who skewed a shot over the bar from 15 yards out. (22)

No particular fan comments as yet (fans busy speculating about manager sacking)

Ipswich Town - Matthew Pennington played full match and was booked in 0-3 away defeat to Millwall

OS Match Report
"Freddie Sears sent Matt Pennington’s cross back into the danger area but Jake Cooper cleared"
"at the other end Pennington held strong to hold off Gregory"

No particular comments about him (fans busy talking about new manager)

Wigan Athletic - Antonee Robinson played full match in 2-4 away defeat to Sheffield United
Callum Connolly started, was booked and was substituted in the 58th minute of the same match

OS Match Report
"It could have been worse in first-half stoppage time but Robinson did well to get back and stop McGoldrick when he burst through on goal."

Twitter stuff
45+3' SUPERB from @Antonee_Jedi! Latics almost undone for a third Sheffield United goal on the counter attack, but Robinson races back to block and keep the gap at one goal. (2-1)
52' Chance! @NathanByrne_'s cross from the right is met by an @Antonee_Jedi cross from the left, @NPowell25 comes racing in to meet it, but he can't keep his header down! (2-1)

Fan comments
"So who goes to the left and right of Windass. Under no circumstances can it be Connolly as he should be back at Everton by now surely"
"Connolly and Dunkley were rotten"
"Connolly, vacant. Doesn't put a shift in, gives the ball away cheaply. Makes a lot of mistakes. Doesn't look comfortable anywhere in midfield."
"Robinson stayed at home for almost the entire game, was afraid to get forward."
"Connolly must be the only player I know that has ever managed to stay invisible as a central midfield player. He has a special talent for hiding. At least Morsy never hides, always looks for the ball and puts his foot in, I remember Connolly ****ing out of one early on which set the tone. Him, Dunkley, Burn were abysmal today. Robinson was okay by his standards considering they targeted him hard down that side knowing he was the weak link. The break looks to have done him good."

...much appreciated. Still looking glum, it’s going to be very difficult for any of these youngsters to force themselves into contention at Everton. Indeed, it might be difficult moving them on given they’ll be on very decent contracts. I’m still surprised Pennington in particular was given a 3 year deal.

very few problems in life cant be solved over double figures pints of Pils and 60 million of those nice notes with the nice British lady of the German grandparents smiling back at ya from the crisp new notes.

Henry starts tonight in the Istanbul derby. Might be worth a watch.
Thought he was out injured with a serious injury
Bad news from Turkey re Onyekuru
LATEST - Bad news for Everton loanee Henry Onyekuru. The Nigeria international has been ruled out with a hamstring injury for up to 6 weeks. Will miss Galatasaray's next 3 Champions League games and the Istanbul derby against Fenerbahce

Championship
Bolton Wanderers - Joe Williams played full match in 0-2 away defeat to Aston Villa

OS Match Report
"With six minutes to go and the Whites put together a lovely flowing passing move, with Williams combining with substitute Christian Doidge, but Villa got back in numbers and managed to clear the threat of conceding."

Twitter stuff
Jack Grealish twists and turns to move away from @JoeWilliams0812 before seeing a low shot from 20 yards out, pushed away by Ben Alnwick. (28)
Chance Wanderers! @JoeWilliams0812 plays a ball through to @Chris_Doidge who bears down on goal before @AVFCOfficial manage to force a corner. (84)
.@JoeWilliams0812 beat Conor Hourihane with a step-over before threading a ball through to @Chris_Doidge. He then cut-back to Dyer who saw a shot flash across goal before Magennis then headed over the bar. So unlucky! (89)
.@JoeWilliams0812's diagonal pass is nodded down by David Wheater inside the box before Josh Magennis squirms a shot narrowly wide of the post. (90+3)

Fan comments
"Williams is a youngster learning his way - but he can at times win the ball back and play and look like he can to some extent control a midfield at this level. It isn't consistent. I've never ever, once even for 10 minutes see Vela look remotely capable of doing that. Williams has work to do to get to the level needed."
"Williams was notably getting on the ball and looking for options, and trying to win it back."
"I think Williams is a good player. Inexperienced, inconsistent and makes mistakes yes, but he has good ability and is cocky and confident and is prepared to try to control things. He is way ahead of Murphy and Vela."

Championship
Ipswich Town - Matthew Pennington played full match and was booked in 1-1 home draw with Preston North End

OS Match Report
"Matt Pennington headed wide from a corner as Blues pressed forward"
"It took a fantastic challenge from Pennington to stop Nmecha when he was clear on goal"

Twitter stuff

CLOSE! Downes' corner is met by Pennington whose booming header is inches past the post [1-0]
88' Big chance for PNE as Maguire slips Nmecha in, but Pennington covers with an absolutely stunning tackle to deny him [1-1]

Fan comments

"Pennington played well, that tackle... awesome."
"Pennington and Chambers...that is looking more and more like a very solid partnership. They seem to work and communicate with each other very well."
"By far the best defender on the pitch,if we could sign him in January I would say do so."
"The best centre half at the club at the moment."

...chuffed for Pennington, hoping he can keep that form for the rest of the season in a struggling Ipswich team.
