...have to have doubts about the Everton futures of these loanees.
It's hard to imagine any of those out on loan breaking into the first team tbh. Not sure that has been the case for a while.
..yes, they’ll need to be very special such is the quality at top level. I wondered if Williams might have enough attitude to overcome any lack of ability. All will be making a very good living out of the game.
I think that's the 2nd/3rd march Connolly hasn't made the match day squad. If he isn't injured that ain't good news for him, especially after having such a successful loan at Ipswich and getting plenty of game time.
Yes, all seem easily good enough for the Championship, or lower reaches of the PL. Kind of a Shane Duffy level, ie making a very solid career for themselves, but not quite good enough for a team challenging the top end of the table. I had always suspected that tbh, but thought some might be valuable squad players, in the same way Ferguson got value out of guys like Phil Neville and John O'Shea.
