I always thought he was half decent but don't think he will make it at this level just yet, going to have to go the Shane Duffy route to be a Prem regular and work his way back up, which to be honest, more young lads should.

Started brightly. He's immediately taking their set pieces, some great deliveries so far.

As I say this, Barnet just been awarded a penalty.... and conceded.

"Dowell 5.5/10 – He was maybe our best player and he hardly convinced. A few neat flicks and wafts but not much came off. He at least tried to get on the ball and move it on a few times. Was supposed to be playing in the Duffy role but ended up wider and did not give us an outlet we needed. He took too much time to move things on and allowed them to get back. Need to see more of him as at least he showed one or two neat touches."

....disappointing start for Dowell but Sheffield United are very much involved in the race for the Premiership and it’s up to him to impress.
 
Pennington played well for Ipswich today apparently.

If he can get more consistent then maybe he can get a career at that level. Not with us. Obviously.

....very encouraging feedback on Holgate, let’s hope he maintains that level of form.
