Walsh actually getting a report on the main website now for his displays.

I say report - thats a bit of a stretch, recognition might be better.

fingers crossed but i have a bad feeling martinez will offer him another year

Think the 'transition' period - hate that word - looks like it's over now, had the 3 years to bed players he brought in and now they are settled and established think the old guard can be safely moved on without losing 'what it is to be Everton' that i think Martinez was worried could be lost, hence keeping a lot of the older players around for an extra season or two initially despite them offering little on the pitch

LIAM Walsh has been named in the Football League team of the week for his performance for Yeovil Town against Plymouth Argyle.

The 18-year-old, who is on loan from Everton, played all but the last four minutes of injury-time for the Glovers in their 0-0 draw with the Pilgrims at Huish Park on Tuesday.

Despite it being second versus second from bottom in Sky Bet League Two going into the match, Walsh helped Yeovil dominate the first half and also give a good account of themselves after the break in a game they perhaps should have won.

The youngster has regularly been named man-of-the-match since first arriving on loan in South Somerset on January 8 and scored his first goal for the club during the 1-1 draw at Luton Town on February 2.

He doesn't look like a footballer if that makes sense? Hope the lad will be special though

I'd love for Walsh, Ledson and Dowell to go the same club and put together a full season at League 1 level.

There must be a club out there that would want that deal.

Surely it would be win/win if we covered all their wages.

Also worrying that Fulham are not using in his proper.position.
Genuine question re Garbutt, I've looked at the team sheets , reports etc, not seen him on tv or anything but assumed he was playing at left back , is this not the case? If he's playing as a left wingback/ left mid field I can live with that in respect of him developing new skills in a different position provided they're not trying to play him way away from his best position.

hes basically 4th choice left back for us (maybe even 5th soon if connolly keeps going as he is) so has no chance of getting in there. maybe better for him to try another position. fwiw i dont actually think he has a future with us in any position though.
