Rodriguez hasn't even been at the club for a year, Henen less than two. What makes you think they've gone out on loan for anything more than getting first team football in a new country?

Its harsh but i think Henen hasnt pulled up trees and rodriguez after the summer will be 4th choice.

Oxford leading 1-0 at half time. Decent game to watch. Kenny getting a bit of a schooling by an old pro League winger but hanging in there. Excellent experience for him, especially playing a match like this at Wembley.

How did he do in the end?

connolly seems to have picked up an injury on international duty so unfortunately misses out for barnsley
Connolly's loan was due to finish today, has it been renewed - I've lost track of all the renewals?
I noticed that Barnsley's own 18 year old RB prospect James Bree was on the bench today having been out with jury. I wonder if Connolly will now return to us having played most of the games for them at RB. It would do him good to remain at Barnsley til the end of the season as he's capable of playing in a few positions for them .

Apparently they have 6 players on loan and only 5 are allowed to be in a matchday squad.
See here.
But I know what you mean about losing track of the loans. I think that Conor Grant's might have finished at Doncaster but can't find anything to say it has or hasn't.

i heard the match commentator say that but assumed because connolly missed the last england game on tuesday with injury he was still injured.

Cheers, so he says all six loan players are available , non injured , for today's match. Still not clear if his Liam is up though, or if he's wanted now their injury situation us better. Guess we'll know this week from their matches.

Johnstone's Paint Trophy Final
Oxford Utd - Jonjoe Kenny played full match in 3-2 defeat to League One opposition Barnsley

OS Match Report
"Dunkley, skipper Johnny Mullins and young full backs Jonjoe Kenny and Jordan Evans did well at the other end, with keeper Benji Buchel making some good decisions to punch away crosses when required and tipping over a dipping effort from Adam Hammill after 25 with Barnsley’s best effort of the first half."

Twitter stuff
1' The U's win a throw in which Kenny comes to take. Barnsley clear with an overhead kick but Kenny plays back in for Hylton 0-0
4' Kenny plays through for Roofe who meets the ball at the same time as Hourihane. Hourihane turns and slides through Roofe's legs 0-0
8' Great block from Kenny denies a Barnsley cross into the area. Barnsley corner - Buchel punches away 0-0
40' Quick work from Kenny saves what could have been disastorous as his clearance bounces back off Barnsley legs. Chases and clears0-1
45+2' Dunkley hoofs clear as Barnsley attack. Kenny plays through the wing, Roofe back heels but Sercombe can't quite reach it 0-1
59' Good work from Kenny to break up field and win a U's throw in. Ruffels crosses onto O'Dowda's head but Davies claims 1-1
88' Waring throws himself at a Kenny cross - cleared away. 3-2
90+6' Barnsley free kick. Bowery squares for Mullins to clear. Kenny is clattered with a late, late challenge. Yellow - Toney 3-2

Random fan comments
glad Kenny wasn't crocked by an awful tackle at the end..how was that NOT a red card for Toney?
Kenny and Evans aren't anywhere near as good as baldock and skarz..

Swiss Super League
Grasshoppers Zurich - Shani Tarashaj started on bench and was brought on in 76th minute of 1-2 away loss to FC Thun

No real comments on the 14 minutes...

Man, what a disaster the loan to Fulham is/was for Garbutt. Barely plays and when he does he's slated constantly..

It's a shame as Baines hasn't looked anywhere close to his old self this term. You sense there's an opportunity there for someone to push hard for a place, but at the moment it's Oviedo that's doing the pushing.

McAleny? Playing well from what I've seen, any chance of getting a chance at first team football next season? Rather take a punt on him than Kone if I'm honest
