Everton players out on loan (2015/16)

Not open for further replies.
he was suspended for 3 games for raising his hand, last night was last game of suspension.
Ah cheers for that , I read somewhere he'd served his time, (GOT Ithink !) Fair enough if he's going to be playing for Yeovil..... though I did like the idea of him returning, taking Dowell's place in the U21s , Dowell going into a 1st team squad instead of one of the current bench warmers.

Whats the general feeling on Ledson, Walsh and Kenny?

With Barry hitting 35 hopefully these 3 (and others?) Will be around the squad in the summer and hopefully pushing for a first team squad place. Would be nice to see a couple of players come on in games next season.

Kenny can play a few positions and would be ideal if he broke through as backup RB.

Way colemans been playing this season might be no harm have a bit of competition for him next year.

walsh straight back in yeovil team after 3 game ban, they done alright without him too so obviously think very highly of him.

Had high hopes for Ledson but doesn't seem to have kicked on this season. Who knows though, youth players can suddenly just make an impact and be in the team like Galloway and Browning out of nowhere.

Thought he was doing alright? They extended his loan too.

Garbutt is useless. His man marking his awful, and his crossing is beyond rubbish. When Ream is fit, he plays.
Even more random fan comment
Garbutt punched. Just watched the highlights and noticed that the ball boy hits Garbutt after Parker's goal.

And who was the defender out muscled in the build up to the goal, Downing or Pennington? Embarrassing and O'Connor can't come back soon enough, he's a massive miss.
It was Pennington, shame as he was superb at times.

Quotes from pre-match interview in local paper
"I have to say I’m really enjoying my loan period here at Wigan. I’m sure the staff back at Everton will have been watching how I’ve been doing, checking up on me. But at the moment I’m not really thinking about Everton. My head’s just fully focused on doing well for Wigan, and taking it game by game. As to what happens at the end of the season, I don’t know to be honest. I’ve still got another year at Everton after this, and it’s totally out of my hands. I’m just looking at this as the next chapter in my career. I’ll see where we end up at the end of the season, but it’s not something I’m thinking too much about. There’s far too much going on to be worrying about anything else."

League Two
Oxford United - Jonjoe Kenny played full match in 5-1 away win over Crawley Town

36' MacDonald hovers out on the wing arms outstretched, begging for the ball. Kenny sees him but his ball is wayward. 1-0
42' Mullins is on hand to clear a Crawley ball. The U's clear upfield-KENNY breaks into the area but isn't brave enough to shoot. 1-1
43' Kenny chooses the cross to Maguire, whose shot is way over the bar. Kenny will regret not taking the chance. 1-1
62' CHANCE! Hylton runs near enough the whole pitch but sees his shot parried by keeper Rose. Kenny goes for the rebound - wide 1-3
74' Waring's first touch is a pass to MacDonald, who tees up Kenny for a shot. Saved. U's corner. 1-4

Only sorry that Jonjo didn't get the goal that his play deserved. I felt his frustration.
Kenny really seems to enjoying his time here.

Cambridge United - Ryan Ledson played full game in 1-0 away win over Newport County

OS Match Report
"With their offence slightly flat during the early stages of the game, the U’s quickly cranked up the pressure on the hosts after 20 minutes, and Coulson and Ryan Ledson would surely have both notched were it not for a point blank block from Scott Boden and a fine save by Newport keeper Joe Day in quick succession."
"Max Clark too had an opportunity to test the County shot stopper but pushed his attempt wide of the mark, after Ledson had cleverly picked out the Hull City youngster 18 yards out."
"Whilst Ledson also drilled an attempt over the Day’s cross bar shortly before the break, the U’s though finishing the half the stronger of the two sides."

Twitter stuff
20' Good ball in from Clark is flicked away but United come again and Legge can't quite get his feet right to take a shot from Ledson's ball
24' The U's have turned it on as Ledson crashes a shot into the palms of Day after a well-worked team move 0-0
29' Ledson picks out Max Clark in space centrally 18 yards from goal, the youngster swivels but pushes his shot away from goal 0-0
44' The U's break well and Williamson scuffs a shot into the path of Ledson, who drives an effort over the bar 0-0

Liam Walsh is a plane above any other @YTFC player today. Superb, MOM by a mile today.
Another great ball by Liam Walsh - it would've set Campbell through on goal if he'd had a better touch
May as well give Liam Walsh man of the match now we all know he's got it

Swiss Super League
GC Zurich - Shani Tarashaj played full match in 1-1 home draw with Lucerne

From match report and fan forum, didn't seem to do anything particularly noticeable.

Thanks as always for this mate.

Walsh / Ledson looking positive and now Pennington and Kenny too.

Garbutt sounds like hes having a nightmare and McAleny playing for a move.

Any ideas on Henen or McGeady? Think they both may be on the market as well as leandro?

Haven't really followed McGeady (hardly a youth loan!) but I don't think he has much of a future here.

Henen, Leandro and Tarashaj are all, I would think, low-cost gambles from lesser leagues. If they make it fine, if they don't then you'll probably get your money back (or close). All of them are still in the evaluation process, imo (with Henen obviously further down the road).

will kenny get a league 1 winners medal if wigan win it? also looking on course to get runners up in league 2 with oxford. not a bad season!

Callum Connolly (Barnsley) and David Henen (Fleetwood Town) both finished their loan periods.
Yeah Connolly was in last Monday's u21 team which beat Norwich . I saw that James Breem the regular Barnsley right back returned to their team Saturday. Hard to tell, but it looked like his Barnsley loan was an opportunistic one caused by that injury as Connolly played at right back during his spell. Great experience for him and chance to show his versatility - left back for England and us, centre back last Monday , probably CB tonight. Think Barnsley were daft not to try to extend his loan given how he could cover a number of positions but maybe couldn't guarantee a regular spit.
