Transfer Rumour Everton poised to make £25m bid for Celtic full-back Kieran Tierney

Rodgers pretty much inviting us to get him

Is it just me (?) i’d much rather not hear Jack what’s it about deals like this! The headline i’d prefer to read is Everton have made a bid, which Celtic (or whoever!) have accepted!

This “poised to bid” stuff leaves me very nervous!

From one resident of a smaller neighbouring country to another: Alaba is Austrian (but at least you didn't say he was German...)

I must say I like the idea of Tierney far more than random World Cup squad Eastern Europeans and South Americans.

My bad... at least both teams have the same colours (red and white).

In conclusion, Kieran Tierney will absolutely walk the EPL. It's the common consensus in Scotland that he's better than Andrew Robertson, and Robertson hasn't done badly down south. At international level it'll be interested to see where McLeish plays Tierney. Robertson has cemented the left back spot (I know that that sounds contradictory since I said that Tierney is superior) so Tierney will either be a part of a back three or he'll be an anchor-man.

Im not getting on board with people making out he’s some wonderkid and one of the best in the world for his age. End of the day we’d be paying probably close to £30m from a bloke who’s only played for a crap team in a joke of a league.

That’s not me saying I don’t want him however, I just have my reservations.

What, you mean like half of Liverpool's European Cup final defence were?

Take out the top 5 and the EPL is an extension of the Championship.

Celtic fan here. Tierney is by far the best scottish talent since Paul Mcstay. I know a lot of English fans think Scottish football is terrible and to be fair it's not the best but it's nowhere near as bad as it's made out to be. Tierney himself is extremely mature for his age on and off the field. Boy doesnt even drink. He's deceptively fast and has staminia levels similar to kante not even joking. He's strong for his size and brilliant at doing the old fashioned type of tackles where he wins the ball fairly and then goes through the player on the follow through. He bombs up that wing for 90 minutes. He can hit some shot/crosses similar to the way baines would for you's. Personally though I think the move is a lot of pish as I can't see him leaving us after just signing a 6 year deal and defo not for £25mil. He's our future captain. However if he does leave and it is to Everton you's would be signing someone whose going to instantly be your best left back and finally get credit for being one of the best in europe, he will make you double or treble your money back easy and no disrespect will outgrow Everton fast. ( don't mean that as a dig by the way )

Sorry for the long post lads. Any questions about him just ask

100% Agreed.

And yes, the snobbery in England about Scottish football is... strange. I watch as much EPL as I do SPL and honestly, take out the top 5 teams in the EPL and the differences between the leagues aren't that different. I mean, Burnley finished 6th for heaven's sake. Burnley play Aberdeen next week is a Euro qualifier, judging by the noises down south Burnley should win this one 10:0 on aggregate.

He’s only a left back.

Let’s not go too overboard here hey.
So basicaly the same position as this fella, you're saying?

Burnley weren’t 6th

How do you rate Scott Sinclair?

Not nearly as highly as Roberto Mancini seemed to when Man City bought him.

He had a great first season for Celtic, but teams figured him out, his second season wasn't as fruitful. Morgan and Forrest are better, so I wouldn't expect Sinclair to be a starter this season.
