Overrated: Rodriguez. Barely featured for us and has built a career based on reputation rather than production. Yet somehow he's achieved demigod status in the eyes of some.

James McCarthy: by every measurable metric an abject failure at Everton. Carried, on the rare occasions he did actually play, by Gareth Barry. And yet spoken of fondly as if he didn't miss over 50% of the games in his time at Everton.

Phil Jagielka: Whilst by no means a bad defender, he simply wasn't anywhere near as good as his memory appears to have become over time. Too many folks focus on him scoring a long range volley against the RS but forget instances like being turned inside out by Ricky van Wolfswinkel (Norwich). Serviceable, and deffo better than Keane and Holgate... But not an elite player.

Best: Arteta or Baines. Very hard to split them.

Some of those takes are pretty space cadety.

Best: Rodriguez, definitely out of the players from the past few years. Kanchelskis or Arteta may be in with a shout, but in terms of pure talent, James is heads and shoulders above anyone in the PL era. Overall, it's Alan Ball.

Funniest - Cahill an absolute shithouse. But ours.

Most Annoying: Osman - used to call him almost Osman - if he was as stone heavier and a foot taller he would have been Gazza.

Most Potential: Wayne Rooney, superstar.

Most wasted potential: Ross Barkely, was a wasted generational talent. Should have been a star.

Best Passer: Arteta or Jamo.

Best Long shot: Andrei, Sheeds.

Most clinical: The Yak.

Most Athletic: probably Baines - was up and down that left side all day every day.
