Everton reopen talks with Sam Allardyce

From a Palace fan on our forum yesterday

He did the same with us. Took over a team who were blowing out their arses after 50 mins, could score four goals away from home to conceed five in return and go home with 0 points to a team that was organised, knew what they were doing as a start and then within time playing decent attacking football. Both Pulis and Sam had us playing lovely football in contrast to their reputation

Like I said, he nosed dives them into more trouble first

He took over a team in 17th with 14 points with a -4 gd.

Fast forward 2 months and they were 19th on 19pts with a -14 gd

LOL did they bollocks, Palace where absolutely awful under him

Must have been amazing watching those last 6 games when they still needed points and failed to score in 5 of those games, - lovely footy my arse.

Usually with Everton, I can kid/convince myself of the positives.

Allardyce, Lee and Shakespeare represent what's wrong with the game for me and I just can't.

I wish I could pin it on someone other than Moshiri to keep the sun shining out of his arse and the hope alive - but the decision rests with him.

Keep getting told that Moshiri is magic off the field with paying off loans and whatever, but on the field we've gone backwards considerably under Moshiri.

He/his team don't fill me with confidence they can run a football club.

In the main I agree. However I think the problem stems from the fact he’s not majority shareholder and he is unable to fully execute his plans. He needs to see this though and act, as soon as he is able to, in order to halt the indecision.

It's a fair assumption that no significant decision will happen without Moshiri's approval.

He can take up an option to increase his shares whenever he likes.

There's a tendency for blues to see Moshiri as teflon, the good is him and the bad is Kenwright/Elstone/someone else. I can see why, Moshiri represents hope.

We wouldn’t have been relegated under him had he stayed and Palace wouldn’t be sitting bottom

Look mate I can understand why some expect better for whatever reason at the minute it doesn’t look like you’re going to get what you want. I’m sure Sam will change your opinion and even if he doesn’t I’ve got a feeling you will bin him off in the summer regardless of how he does

I think he has mate - he met Moshiri in canary wharf a few weeks ago then his team were contacted by Moshiri again at the weekend.

He won’t, and he’ll be on £6.5 a year plus all his buddies on the back room gravy train

Yes mate you would have been relegated last season Under him,

Give me 40 points right now because it looks like the most unlikely thing in the world at this point.

Said it til I'm blue in the face, but our fans need to seriously get real about our prospects THIS SEASON.

And every season, mate. We've been nowhere for the whole 27 years of my life now, appointing Allardyce just confirms that is going to continue. As I said, I'm just resigned to us being a joke club. Complete apathy.
