I find it funny that @Death quoted me here... because

End it all my good man... end it all.

Sammy Lee on an everton announcement video...

Imagine the bloody state of that.

I have the database here lemme see, lemme see.. oh no, you're an Evertonian. When you die being Evil it's a choice of Hell or a full life of being an Evertonian. Obviously you've made the wrong choice.

Can he realistically been involved tonight for the game against West Ham if he is appointed during the day?
Can't remember who it was exactly, remember one manager sitting in the stands after being announced the day of a match but was in the dug out for the second half, think fat Sam has used this process through his career of watching from the stands in the first half

He's known as the fireman, he's called in when there's no other hope. Have you ever seen a place when the fire brigade have been in, the water damage alone beats any small fire. The damage he will cause will extend far beyond his appointment and departure, as with ALL of the clubs he has been called in to before.

How do we get rid of the alehouse players he will have brought in on long contracts? Ask the previous clubs he's saddled those with.

Today my club dies and I'm done. Kenwright let the wolves in, they'll pick the corpse clean. I'm in tears here, this is the worst day in my life as as blue.

Too negative sir!

Not liking Sam, fair enough. But fire brigades, water damage etc? Quite aside from Bolton in Europe, Newcastle's plunge after him (Benitez, Shearer, Hughton), he promoted and secured West Ham, kept Sunderland up (Moyes couldn't) and Palace likewise. And in Palace he added a decent long-term, young defender in Sakho into the mix...

Moyes at Everton. Hughes at Stoke, Fulham, Blackburn. Pulis Stoke, Brom. Howe at Bournemouth. Dyche at Burnley. We simply stick our noses up at British managers as a symptom of the 'level' of clubs we allow them to manage. All of those guys deliver millions to their clubs through their management ability and give a stage of the most watched league in the world to the players they work with.

No Prem club that's conceded what we have, by now, has EVER stayed up.

Statistically, we need any manager to do what's not been done before - and we're being negative towards Sam?! But want Silva who's already proved he can't keep a club up?

Genuinely think that they are scared to announce it. There's absolutely no way you can make one of those pervy videos either to show off this god awful news.

The club will gain another first by being the first team to apologise for hiring a new manager.

Yeah, there's absolutely no sell on value from this squad.

Maybe we just all need to accept where this is going and Allardyce's appointment is basically us admitting we're a no mark club that should be happy to survive every year. The money isn't going to be there to rectify this and the manager lacks any imagination to get us anywhere but the lower reaches of mid table anyway.

Who has he managed on a long-term basis that had serious top half credentials? The clubs he left bombed.

We're arguably the biggest club he'll ever manage.
