Which is why I said you don't have to always agree with their opinions.

My father was a semi pro, and has since scouted for premier league clubs full time since the introduction of the premier league and still does now.

He's met over the years a lot of people involved in the game who know so much more about the intricacies of coaches, training methods & so on.

The average fan like you or I don't get to see that side of the game.

Another example of the difference. I've got Spurs mates who wanted rid of Pochettino after his first season in charge there. What did they know!

Don't get me wrong I agree with a lot of what you say. My main issue was because their view is unanimous we should accept it, when we all know approval is given mainly due to loyalties and not objectively.

In the whole world of football there was only one manager available???????????????????????????????????????????????????????
This fella is at the same level as Harry Rednapp ff's.

Jesus, that's not what I'm saying.

Look at the facts. It's taken us 6 weeks to appoint a manager. Why?

If we are to believe our say top 3 targets we're Ancelotti, Silva, and one other. Why aren't they here?

Because for what ever reason either they or us didn't want them.

I'm just trying to say of who's available maybe we've had to resort to our 3rd, 4th or even 5th choice.

Nobody else clearly wanted it or we were able to bring in half way through a season

Meanwhile lots of ex pros and pundits never wanted Pocch to get the saints job, guess they showed us all their knowledge then didn't they...

Totally agree. But equally there were thousands of Spurs fans who wanted rid after his 1st season there. What did they know!

Back from his holidays......

If that's the case why not give him a 6 month contract worth 10m?

Because this way it gives the pretense he is a longer term manager otherwise the players could sit on their arses and ignore him mate, they could still do that ofc as if we go down hed get sacked anyways

One bright spark in a dreadful season has been the young kids getting a chance, that spark is extinguished now with this appointment, he doesn't and has zero interest in playing young players.
Mate, the worst you can say about the kids is that they've lacked the consistency, which is what you'd expect anyway. They haven't hid or not stood up to their task in the same way the senior guys have. You can see that by the number of MOM votes the kids have been getting.

But you just know it's the senior guys, those cowards that have let us down so badly this season, that Allardyce is going to put his trust in. It sickens me that the dross we should be booting out of our club are the ones that are going to have their places cemented, with yet more aging has beens joining on silly money in January. And the young kids are going to go by the wayside and eventually out of the club should he stay here long enough.

Never felt this bad in 50 years of supporting Everton.

Just been confirmed on SSN as I'm writing this. God I feel sick.

I'll watch tonight because of Unsworth, think I'm gonna be taking a big break for anything from 6-18 months after that mate, seeing BFS and Lee ion the dugout would make my uncle turn in his grave
