Everton reopen talks with Sam Allardyce

He wasn't who I wanted but it's got to the stage now where we are in desperate need of a manager who knows the league and knows what it takes to get out of this mess.

I've been at 6 out of the past 7 games and I'm telling those who are complaining about Allardyce's style of football, it can not be anywhere near as bad as we are currently witnessing.

He's not who I wanted by any stretch but we need to get behind him and get out of this mess.

How do you conclude - given you're club is 4 points away from 9th place and we've played 13 games - that you need some walloper like Allardyce and his string of cronies stinking up the club in order to survive?

It has to be the biggest kneejerk I've seen with Everton and possibly any other club with pretensions to being seen as top club again. No club employing him are anything other than pony outfits.

I refuse to believe this will happen. They're going to come out and say "Ha Ha, GOT YER!" and then reveal the real manager.

Mate it's the damage he does to the club it's not just as he's fat Sam. Kiss goodbye to all our youngsters Barkley etc
Barkley has made his intentions clear, publicly and privately mate he is long gone unless he turns around and fancies it. No player is more important than the club, its a crap cliche, but i would sell every single player we had right now if it meant we stayed up.

This whole situation has set us back :( I just hope we get through it and survive otherwise I highly doubt the stadium will go ahead.

Typical this farce happens to close to the stadium situation getting close. Now investors are probably going to wait it out a bit longer.

Not only that but we have sold all our Crown Jewels now, so the whole selling the best players to fund transfers won't work either.
Yea. No matter what happens with the manager Moshiri is going to have to fund a squad rebuild because the money isn't in the team and the extra TV money is either spent or will give us no advantage over the rest of the league.

It's his mess. He needs to fix it and that will be expensive.

The past 6 months have battered me into a state of complete acceptance that someone that keeps us up is the priority.

Everton FC. Destroying supporters since 1878.

I don't know what people are expecting, calling for Tuchel or similar, look at the state we are in, NOBODY wants the job, I'm sure some people want us to be in the Championship, delusional, wake up and smell the coffee.

dave I often agree with you and like what you say .. BUT even you have to admit we are in dire starights and Big Sam will iron us out and keep us up .. which is the most important thing.
