Imagine a world where we actually have shots at goal during a game...

It's actually people calling in who are saying that.
It's mental. Not sure if it's just thick people who believe Allardyce's spin. As a Liverpool fan, it's been amusing to see the meltdown of a lot Everton fans over the appointment, but it has to rank as one of most misguided appointments in recent managerial history!

Yeah, 30 years ago before the money men ruined the sport. They have created this environment and then question the participants, laughable.
And stubbs is a throbber.

Walsh needs to take his fair share of the blame Eggs, no doubt about it. And hopefully we'll find out that he's been replaced too.

But Walsh isn't the man who set the team up so negatively every week, and neither has he sat behind a microphone countless times winding up fans and criticising players and colleagues.

Lets put this chapter behind us as quickly as possible. I dont think any long term damage has been done to the club, so hopefully we can move forward by making the right choice of DoF and manager this week.

To be fair, Walsh comes across as a likeable enough chap.

Unlike his mate.

But look at Burnley's resources!

Before the final game;

Burnley

  • Possible position: 7th
  • Possible merit payment: £27.1m
  • No. of live TV games/facility fees: 7/£12.4m
  • Total: £118.8m
Everton

  • Possible position: 8th - 9th
  • Possible merit payment: £25.2m - £23.3m
  • No. of live TV games/facility fees: 20/£23.7m
  • Total: £128.1m - £126.2m

Seventh-place Burnley, who overcame the odds to secure a Europa League place this season, are estimated to finish with less money than the three sides directly below them in the league — Everton, Leicester and Newcastle — after only being selected for a live TV game seven times, the lowest of any team in the league.

West Ham’s strife-ridden season could not be perceived more differently from Burnley’s campaign, yet as they were shown on TV 18 times they will finish with more money at £122.1m. West Ham, who could still finish as low as 17th and as high as 10th, have as much as £13.6m to play for against Everton at home.

Its an amazing quirk, if you were to analyse it Burnley probably have a bigger injection of capital given they are likely coming from a lower cost base even though we are getting more money, for example lower transfer fees, wages etc. That said we probably have better commercial, sponsorship and attendance income streams.

Ultimately there is a glass ceiling for all clubs ours in the CL and that is our aspiration for Burnley they pretty much hit their goal this season, can they break the glass ceiling of CL probably not. While they have to compete with established PL clubs like us who to an extent are a "name" with established fan bases and a market to be shown on TV. Its hard to do every year.

I suppose my point was despite the poor fair on the pitch the finishing position as a result of the position Sam achieved has actually been a huge positive for the club in terms of finance.

Despite the poor atmosphere, awful recruitment and awful football in real terms we finished one place below where we did last season, in monetary terms thats a huge thing for Everton, despite what we had to suffer on the pitch.

I appreciate that if im honest so im grateful to Sam.

Only fat people are sensitive to this. Who cares. If you choose to become a public figure it's all on the table, I'm not excusing it but it is what it is.

Look at what arsenal did to their non fat manager who actually achieved something in the league.

Forget Sam
Lol

I take it he didn't go in the early 80s then to Goodison.
